The space
I manage dozens of properties in Big Bear and this is one of the nicest, best-appointed cabins of this size (1000 sq ft). I purchased this property after managing it three years for the previous owners. The forest trails begin up the street and connect with miles of fire roads and trails through the back-country. The entire cabin is set up for guest enjoyment, including outdoor spa and large gas bar-b-que on the back deck, instant hot water system, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, Roku HDTV, DVD/VCR combo, and gas log only fireplace. The national forest is just steps up the quiet, tree lined street, and is a perfect location for exploring the mountain.

I've lived in Big Bear for 20 years and I encourage guests to contact me for anything and everything from secret snow play areas and hiking trails to the best restaurants and local attractions. I do quite a bit of back country exploration on my dual sport motorcycle and if you come up in a high clearance vehicle I will guide you to some of my favorite places.

This cabin is located 300 feet from the National Forest on a quiet, dead-end street. Take back streets 3 blocks east to Snow Summit and walk south a few blocks to Meadow Park and the lakefront. You will hear Bluejays and songbirds and see squirrels in the trees from the large private lot.

During winter months, you're just a few hundred feet from the National Forest and can walk and explore from practically your front doorstep. I recommend driving to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, but you're just a few blocks away and can easily be the first on the mountain.

The back yard is fenced and perfect for children to frolic and build a snowman or search for arrowheads and collect pine cones. Instant hot water system means you'll never run out during long showers by the whole group. And there's even a central air conditioner for warm summer days. The six person Jacuzzi spa is professionally serviced every week and in-between every guest stay to ensure cleanliness and comfort. The beds are made up with quality sheets and towels are in the bathroom. The washer and dryer are supplied with laundry detergent and dryer sheets.

Guest access
The entire private cabin is set up for guest enjoyment, from the six person spa and large gas bar-b-que on the back deck, to the instant hot water system, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, wood burning fireplace, every guest comfort has been thought of. The national forest trail system is just 300' away, just up the quiet, tree lined street, and is a perfect location for exploring the 100's of miles of mountain trails and roads.

Other things to note
The back yard is fenced and perfect for children to frolic and build a snowman or search for arrowheads and collect pine cones. Instant hot water system means you'll never run out during long showers by the whole group. And there's even central air conditioning for warm summer days (July - Sept.) The six person Jacuzzi spa is professionally serviced every week and in-between every guest stay to ensure cleanliness and comfort. The beds are made up with quality sheets and towels are in the bathroom and hall closet. There's a washer and dryer for extended stays and to dry the clothes from skiing and snow play.

I’m proud (and grateful) to call Big Bear “home” for over 20 years. As a Southern California native, I’ve lived and worked in a few of SoCal’s most beautiful resort towns; Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar, Palm Desert, and Glendora. In the summer of 1996, I came up to Big Bear for a weekend getaway. The first morning we rented a small boat and I caught five rainbow trout before 12 noon. We had lunch at the now closed Log Cabin Restaurant and the chef steamed my trout in lemon and herbs. The next morning we drove up VanDusen Canyon Road to Holcomb Valley. It was an amazing experience that changed my life. It was so beautiful. I couldn’t believe it. How did I not know about Big Bear? By Sunday night I knew that I could live here, and within a few months my vacation rental start-up went from a plan on legal paper to the fastest growing vacation rental company in the valley. I love to ski and most winter mornings I’m on the slopes at Snow Summit. And when the snow has melted from the fire roads and mountain trails, I’m exploring the backcountry on my dual sport motorcycle. I’m a professional property manager and Airbnb Superhost for a select group of vacation rental cabins. I’m also the owner of the “5 Star Superhost Retreat”. Every property that I manage is inspected, approved, and licensed by the City of Big Bear Lake, and the County of San Bernardino. I am available 24 / 7 to assist my guests in their quest to have the best possible Big Bear vacation. Big Bear is my home and I enjoy sharing everything that I love about my mountain community. look forward to hosting your Big Bear vacation.
