The space
Andørja which is located nearby Harstad and 110 kilometers from Lofoten. Scandinavia's most mountainous island with 20 peaks over 1000 m, and deep fjords down to 510 m.
The property is located in a rural, scenic area on Igeland, Andørja in Ibestad municipality. With beautiful views of the sea and the islands in the sea, as well as wonderful sun conditions, this is a beautiful location! The property is located approx. 4 km from Hamnvik, as well as Ånstad where you will find a kindergarten, convenience store, marina and hiking trails. Proximity to forests and fields with beautiful hiking opportunities!

Northern lights:
In Andørja , we can see the northern lights almost every starry night during the winter in all of the area, Engenes beach is also a good place for observation.
About 4 drive from Andørja, is Polarlightcenter Lofoten. Here you get information about the background to this phenomenon. They also warn of Northern Lights activities days in advance.
It is not every day you can see the northern lights, either due to low activity or low cloud cover. But, - Andørja has a lot of mountains, and sometimes a lot of weather. The same mountains also help to break up the cloud cover, and create gaps in the cloud cover where you can experience the northern lights, even when it is cloudy.
Midnight sun:
The midnight sun is a phenomenon that occurs all or part of the time north of the Arctic Circle and in Andørja it means from about 25 May to about 18 July.
The midnight sun is best experienced on Engenes beach 18 minutes by car.
Andørja adventure, north of the island also offers rental of fisherman's cabins and boats.
Lofotfishing:
Lofoten fishing is the most important seasonal fishing for cod in Norway. Fishing for cod in Lofoten starts in January and lasts until April.
Even though some of the fishing takes place a good distance from land with larger vessels, the small boat fleet still stays in the fishing villages, and several of the fishermen have arranged for you to join and experience life on the Lofoten Sea. These boats organize trips from the middle of February when the cod has announced its arrival. They have all the necessary equipment and take you to the best fishing grounds. You can fish with a rod from the grouse and take the catch home with you. If you wish, some players can provide training in gutting the fish. Andørja Freeride arranges freestyle competition which takes place in Ibestad municipality, on the neighboring islands Rolla and Andørja, in April every year. Andørja Freeride was first held in 2010 and therefore celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2020. The event has sports classes and elite classes, in the disciplines Snowboard and Alpine.
