Cozy farmhouse of 100sqm in the quiet, rural village Degernäs a little less than 10km outside of Umeå. The village is located in the nature reserve "Umeälvens delta" which is well known for its rich bird life. If you want to be close to town but still live quietly and child-friendly, this is a perfect place!

The space
The house is a simple guest house with its own small south facing garden which guests can use freely.

Downstairs is the kitchen, bathroom, living room and a glazed terrace facing south with stairs down to the small garden. From the terrace and garden you have a view of the fields around Degernäs. Adjacent to the entrance there is another small terrace with morning sun, suitable for breakfast.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms in file, one with a double bed (which can be converted into two single beds) and the other with a bunk bed. There is also a cot & extra bed as well as a high chair available if needed. Note, however, that you have to go through one bedroom to reach the other!

The kitchen is basic but lacks a dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower but no bath. Washing machine is in the kitchen with the possibility to hang laundry outdoors or in the bathroom. The living room has a TV with access to the basic offer in the digital network and a Chromecast. Wifi is available and included in the rent.

Parking is available for one car. If more parking space is needed, it can possibly be arranged, in which case you have to ask for it in the booking request!

For children there is a cot with bed linen, high chair, children's tableware and some toys and children's books. There is also a pram that can be used freely. The garden is perfect for small children and is fenced facing the road.

Degernäs, Västerbottens län, Sweden

Degernäs is a small village with working farms and is mostly known for the vast numbers of migrating birds, especially swans, cranes and geese, that during spring and autumn gather on the surrounding fields. Around the village there are several bird towers and bird watching places. Nearby there are also good places for walking, cycling and fishing. The forests around the village are good for berry and mushroom picking during season! In winter, Röbäck's ski trails are close by and ususally you can find both local ski trails and connecting trails to the ones in Röbäck.
