The pods have stunning views of Ben Cruachan and down Loch Etive, only a few minutes walk from the shore. Inside there is a comfy double bed with beautiful Egyptian cotton bed linen and sumptuous duck down pillows and duvet, small bunk bed for kids under 12, also there is a galley style kitchenette, with a 2 hob gas burner, microwave and fridge/freezer. Where you’ll be

Oban, Scotland, United Kingdom

We live in the country, on a small Croft just off a single track road. We love the peace and quiet, beautiful views and farm lifestyle. Oban, a harbour town is only 15 minute drive away connecting the mainland to the inner Hebrides for brilliant day trips to Mull, Iona and other islands. You can also catch boat trips to spot some wildlife from Oban. Other ideas for day trips when the weathers not great include the Georgian town of Inveraray where there is a magnificent castle home to the current Duke of Argyll or a drive to the majestic and atmospheric Glencoe is nothing short of breathtaking, even on a rainy wild day! Many restaurants serve the freshest local seafood in Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland and there is also a few pubs and bars with brilliant views of the harbour in Oban.

We are Ian and Calum and we both run Island view Pods. We absolutely love where we live on the stunning west coast of Scotland near a town called Oban and are passionate about all the amazing things on our doorstep. When we’re not busy with the pods we both love to travel as much as we can. We have a small Croft where we have have cattle, sheep and occasionally pigs. Ian, operates a 3rd generation haulage company and has been born and bred around lorries. He works hard keeping the fleet moving across the country. Myself, Calum I absolutely love cooking and everything to do with food having learnt from my mother since I was a little boy. We very much enjoy our new venture with the pods from meeting new guests from all over the world to telling them all the hidden gems and encouraging them to go and see what this area has to offer!
