Interaction with guests

"Be and Be" ... It's the place you go when you need to stop "doing and doing" for a while and just be ... and be. Spend a few days - take day trips out and return to the beauty and peace.
In this spirit we'd appreciate all guests to value this haven of rest, reflection, inspiration and creativity.
We work from home and our time is flexible so we are available to chat about the area and give you great tips and pointers to other areas. When not hosting Airbnb guests we run intimate tours on the Iveragh, Dingle & Beara peninsulas and Killarney Lakes region. If you'd like a break from the driving we'd be happy to arrange 'off the beaten path' tours-full or half day trips.

Other things to note

The many activities from our doorstep include: boat trips to the Skelligs, swimming, horseback riding on the beach, walks; in the forest, along the rocky shoreline, along the "Kerry Way", diving, fishing (sea & lake), stargazing (designated "Dark Sky"), historical sites including Daniel O'Connell's house + great tea room.

I'll gladly accommodate your dietary needs (eg vegetarian)-just let me know in advance.
If you'd like to bring your dog - just let me know in advance.
The house has 4 bedrooms-3 en-suite, and one with its own full bathroom adjacent (as well as a twin room).

The best bed and breakfast we could have booked. Clare's place was great, she made amazing porridge and omelettes and made sure we could have a lactose free breakfast. Perfect location as well!

We absolutely loved staying at Clare's place. Spectacular views, gorgeous rooms, and the best breakfast we had all trip. Honestly can't recommend this place enough. Clare cares a great deal for her guests and her pride in her place shows. She is kind and welcoming and makes sure everyone is very well fed at breakfast! Thank you so much Clare- my only regret is that we didn't book more than one night!

Prior to travelling to County Kerry, Claire took the time to send detailed instructions on how to get to her house in Derrynane. Upon arrival both Clare and her husband Dezy were very welcoming. Clare is a very knowledgeable, delightful and helpful woman to speak with and to whom you could chat for hours with. Her husband is a very talented musician and played some brilliant music for us in their home. Her cooking is mouth watering while the views from her house are second to none, the best in Derrynane! As an amateur astronomer, the views from her home are absolutely outstanding, with unhindered views out over the Atlantic ocean. I will most definitely stay here again!

Response from Clare:
Glad you made it to your destination safely in the rain. Pity, but then this is Ireland. Do come back.

Dezy and I both love to show off the beauty of Ireland paired with great entertainment and thoroughly enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life and all persuasions. Dezy is a professional entertainer, pianist, playwright and songwriter. I love to cook and organize.
Dezy is Irish (60s) and I'm South African (50s) with US citizenship. We have toured all over the US doing house concerts and have lived in Naples Florida and Portland Oregon besides Ireland, the UK and Dezy's 5 years in the Netherlands. We are committed to our passions, following our dreams and facilitating others to follow theirs. Dezy's musical play "Not the Life I Ordered" is central to his work.
