Racing Greens has 2 well equipped, one bedroom apartments as part of our Victorian home. We are 200 mtrs from the seafront and close to all amenities and riverside activities.
The front door to the Garden apt is 6 steps up from the private garden.
There is a lounge, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. We have been welcoming visitors for 17 years and have good reviews for cleanliness, good quality accommodation and hospitality from our guests. Come - Enjoy - Relax and Refresh with us.

The space
Formerly the Victorian kitchens, this is a quirky one-bedroom apartment accessed through the gated garden. 6 steps lead from the Garden up to the apartment front door into the lounge. Garden table, chairs and barbecue are available in high season.
The cosy lounge has a dining table and chairs, two easy-chairs, TV and “Day bed” (by day a settee, by night it can be a single bed - 3ft / 90cm wide). Another single bed is stored below it.
From the lounge there are 4 steps to the unusual galley kitchen – this may be the old butler’s pantry. It is well equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dish-washer, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board.
The lounge also leads to the double bedroom with its King-size bed (5ft / 150x200cm). There is room for your own travel cot if required.
The ensuite bathroom has a corner bath with an over-shower. Access to the bathroom is only from the bedroom so do make sure this is suitable for your party.
The approach is from Beach Road via a short footpath into the enclosed garden with its patio and garden furniture.
Bookable for 1 -4 guests (including children).

Children welcome.
Bedding, towels, kitchen linens (not beach towels)
Flat screen TV (Freeview) DVD and CD players.
Welcome pack with tea & coffee and kitchen essentials.
Selection of toiletries & hairdryer

Where you’ll be

Littlehampton, England, United Kingdom

Racing Greens is within 200 mtrs of the sandy beach and the River Arun and a short walk to Littlehampton town centre. The town is on the flat and it is easy to get around it’s shops and cafes. There is a small theatre opposite us and larger theatres in towns around us.
There is a lovely walkway along the riverside in Littlehampton and you can follow the riverside footpath which goes on to Arundel and its access to the South Downs.

You can enjoy various water based activities with opportunities for kite surfing, fishing, diving, fishing and sea angling. Across on the west bank are the dunes of the West beach, an area of special natural interest. The Littlehampton marina and harbour welcomes sailors from many areas and there is lots of information for sea based activities on the Littlehampton Harbour website. Racing Greens is an avid supporter of the work of Littlehampton's RNLI volunteers, and you can also visit Littlehampton's Lifeboat station and see the rescue boats.

Families with children enjoy Harbour Park – a family friendly Fun park in a fantastic location on the river side. There are "adventure" and "mini" golf pitches along the promenade; boating on the Oyster pond; and opportunities to take the little train along the promenade to reach Littlehampton's Miniature Railway in Norfolk Gardens and Mewsbrook Park, and the swimming centre; are other favourites.

Cyclists can enjoy a variety of popular local routes on the flat or up along the South Downs.

We love looking for “antiques and collectables”. The area is well supplied with antique shops and frequent fairs in various local venues.

Although the kitchen is fully equipped, eating out is one of the pleasures of a break away and we can help with suggestions on where to eat.

There are a range of bars, cafes and restaurants with a tempting range of international cuisines, and of course - award winning "Fish & Chips".
You can walk to most places within the town including the iconic East Beach Cafe (designed by Thomas Heatherwick ) so it is easy to wine and dine with no taxis or driving required!

West Sussex is home to an excellent selection of beautiful gardens, parks, and open spaces, from sandy beaches to the South Downs National Park.

Sports enthusiasts can experience horse racing at Fontwell, Goodwood, and Brighton which are within easy driving distance. The Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival are unique motor-racing events which attract spectators from all over the world. Racing Greens offers minimum 3 or 4 night breaks for these special events – but book early!
We have a wide range of visitor information and a great enthusiasm for West Sussex to help you discover the best of what is in the area, and help you have a great stay.

We have been running Racing Greens since 2003 offering visitors accommodation in our Bed & Breakfast and in our 2 apartments. We “fell” into this after retiring from a previous business. This has been a great way to meet new people and make a lot of new friends. We have a good laugh with them and many return to us year after year. Eileen has a background in local Tourism and we love living in Littlehampton and enjoying what this area has to offer so we are happy to help our visitors make the best of their visit. As we also love to travel we know that the best results come from offering our guests what we look for when staying on our own holidays. As our tastes range from city breaks to cruises, we know that it starts with a CLEAN and comfortable place to stay. We also love good local food, pottering about looking at antiques and architecture, relaxing to live music (Jazz is our absolute favourite and we are lucky to have some regular haunts) and enjoying what each place has to offer. It is nice to share our top tips for enjoying Littlehampton and Sussex with other travellers. We hope you will come to visit us.
