If I could give this wonderful family 10 stars I would. It started snowing very unexpectedly and he came and picked us up because our car would not make it all the way. We had a cozy quiet evening with some of the best food all made from the farm and great wine that just kept coming. We had fresh eggs and a cake I wish I could have every morning. We got to explore the property in the morning and see al there sweet animals. Charm, kindness, and the perfect relaxing night we needed to recharge after hustle and bustle of Florence and Rome. If you do anything in Italy come stay here!

Perfect place to enjoy your holidays in Italy. Sadly we were there only for one night, we would have loved to stayed much longer! Very nice and helpful family, they care for us all time. Beautiful place with gorgeous views. Totally recommended.

The place is just amazing. It is in the middle of the Toscana nature, historical farm with nice pets. If you want to discover the wander of the Italian nature, I highly recommend the place. They also can cook you some meals, so you can plenty enjoy your time there.

We were on our way from Modena to Florence and spent a night at Elena's gorgeous family farm. We traveled by train and Elena's father was waiting for us when we got off the train in Vernio. After a stunning and winding ride up into the hills, we arrived at Il Sartino. We loved exploring the property, playing with the cats and dogs, and enjoying the view. Our best decision of the day was taking Angelo up on his offer to cook us dinner - a delicious and fresh lasagna, bread, and potatoes. An unforgettable (and way too short) stay!

It was our first stop during our trip through Tuscany and we were so touched. Steep unpaved road drives you to the farm which is so far from typical busy city life. You can feel here real country life connected to this beautiful landscape. Try to spend one day in farm enjoying the garden, sun, peace, animals around and then Angelos Italian dinner made from products of his farm and you will have the right exeperience of Tuscany. It was definitely highlight of our stay. Thank you Angelo.

Great stay at a rustic little farm in the hillside. This is a small grouping of 2 apartments in old buildings (1 with 3 bedrooms 1 bath and kitchen/living room and the other with 1 bedroom, 1 bath and kitchen/living room) Make sure you know what you are booking, as we thought we had the entire place per Air B&B but did not until the second night ( I would call and confirm with the hosts). The hosts were very accommodating and I arranged with them to have dinner made for us 2 nights with special dietary needs. They also brought us cereal, cake and eggs in the morning. No TVs and wifi didn't work so I recommend bringing some cards, or other no-internet activities. The location is up a windy gravel road - so ensure your car can handle it. And our GPS didn't find the street address, so plan before you go. If you are coming in late October you are sure to see fall colors on the trees. The area was very quiet and safe. Took us about 45 min to get into Florence for the day, and then we came back at night. I would recommend arriving during day light and then eating dinner at the farm because going through the windy gravel road at night may be very hard. We had 4 children aged 6 and 8, 9 and they had a blast chasing chickens, petting the goats, feeding the pigs, and petting the dogs, cats and the horse that roams the property. My husband went for a run in the hills. Very nice trip and very lovely hosts.
