Laurel Knoll is not your average cabin from a kit or local saw mill. The trees used in this dovetail construction cabin were selected, fell, dressed and joined by the same man. Logs average 14 inches in height and 6.5 inches in thickness. Loving care has gone into each step of construction to ensure many years of satisfaction for them and their lucky guests.

The space
The 3.5-acre property is situated on a long, well-maintained gravel road, cabin's long driveway sets it well off the road for maximum privacy. The lot is heavily wooded with hardwoods, mountain laurel,
dogwoods, and native blueberries. The property slopes gently on three sides allowing for great views while increasing privacy. You can watch the sunrise on the front porch and watch the sunset from the back porch / hot tub. The tin roof and huge logs create a rustic, camp atmosphere. The cabin is accented by green and red trim and stacked fieldstone. The large front porch is covered and deep enough to enjoy the swing even on a rainy day. It features custom made copper lighting fixtures. The 550 sq ft screened porch features a vaulted ceiling, ceiling fans, iron chandelier, and a beautiful masonry fireplace. Continue through the screened porch and you will discover a large back deck with beautiful ridgeline views.

Inside, the cabin is cozy and well-appointed. The main room features a 17' stone fireplace with vent free gas logs. stone floors, recessed "can" lighting and large chandelier. The dining area also features stone floors, "can" lighting and a "box bay" window seat. Adjoining the eating space is the kitchen whose features include built-in dishwasher and refrigerator, antique pantry doors on the wall cabinets, an apron-front sink with custom faucet, and a tiled counter and backsplash. The loft bedroom overlooks the main room and the fireplace. It has beautiful views of the ridge, pine flooring, vaulted ceiling, recessed lighting, and a ceiling ran. The downstairs bedroom looks onto the back deck and has
slate flooring, built-in bookshelves, french doors into the main room and access to the screened porch and back deck.

Where you’ll be

Ellijay, Georgia, United States

Perfectly situated between the small towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay, you'll find the number of things to do is only limited by the amount of time you spend here. Festivals are held year-round and are fun for all ages. Plentiful walking trails, waterfalls, tubing, and white water rafting, quaint shops and downtown eateries, multiple vineyards, and local arts & crafts. You can always find something to do in and around the local small towns. Fishing, Biking, 4-wheeling adventures await. Or just stay all day and relax in the blissful surroundings of the Pinecone Cabin. PLEASE NOTE: It is a two-mile off-road rustic experience to the cabin from the main road, with occasional steep inclines and dirt/gravel terrain. A SUV or 4 wheel vehicle is recommended, the road up to the cabin can be difficult in heavy rain or snow/ice. The drive up is definitely worth the humps & bumps when you get here! Plan ahead and stop at one of the food/supply stores on your way in, as it is about 20-25 minutes from the cabin once there. Walmart & grocery/fast food stores are plentiful in either Ellijay to the south or Blue Ridge to the north.
