Luxurious, warm and cosy glamping pods that are fully contained with their own bathroom, underfloor heating and kitchen. Set up on a hill in stunning countryside and on a working sheep farm, you are sure to see plenty of wildlife and beautiful night skies while in a location just 30 minutes from the Lakes, Dales and seaside.
A small site for a relaxing getaway.
Perfect for couples or families, Hare Meadow has a fixed double bed and a choice of either using the built in bunk beds for children.

The space
Our luxurious warm and cosy glamping pods are most definitely a home from home experience. The pods are fully contained with their own kitchen area and bathroom suites, supplied with underfloor heating.
Within the pods there is a seating area/ sofa bed for guests to relax and watch TV, or glass doors and outdoor space if you prefer to listen to nature and watch the world pass by.

Guest access
We are a working farm, so we are happy for you to watch us at work, however this must be done so from the pod site to ensure the safety of both our guests and Farmers. The pods have their own fenced area with plenty of space around them and you might even spot some sheep and lamps peering at you over the fence.
There is so much to see and do in the area. We are a family run working farm, so our fields are full of animals and wildlife so you might spot some amazing sights. We regularly see Little owls and Barn owls around the farm, pheasants, deer, bats and many others.
It’s not just the wildlife that you can see from the pod site, we have the Settle to Carlisle railway line running along the border of our land and although it is a quiet line it is a regular route for some impressive steam trains and the glamping pods are the perfect place to view them!
There is a network of public footpaths all around and we are happy to point you in their direction for some great walks. We must insist that dogs are kept on their lead at all times, we do have our own working dogs but also sheep can lose their lambs and become quite ill if they are worried by a dog, so it is really important.
Situated between the historic city of Lancaster, the Lake District and the stunning Yorkshire dales you need only travel 30 minutes in either direction to reach any of these places. There is so much to see and do in the area - fishing, walking, watersport, climbing, diving, skiing, wildlife oasis, soft play, historical sites, open farms or you could just use the time to relax in the peace and quiet.

Other things to note
Dogs are permitted in the hare Meadow pod, please make contact when booking, there's a £5 per day charge per pet. when we kindly ask that they do not sit on the bed or sofa and that care is taken to wipe their feet on entry. We know that muddy boots are inevitable in the countryside, so we provide a covered outdoor space and boot mat for you.

We are in the Keer Valley which is lovely and quiet, and very dark at night so you’ll be able to see the stars! Surrounded by fields with occasional farms dotted around, the river Keer borders our land as well as a railway line (close enough to see the steam trains but not so that you will be disturbed with any noise).
The area is rich with possibilities, Arkholme village is a couple of miles down the road and the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is 10 minutes away and is full of fabulous places to eat.

Hi, we’re the Barkers. Our glamping pods are situated on the family farm that is home to two generations, there is Lynda and James in the old farmhouse and Kevin and Danielle in the barn with their two children. Just down the road we have Barry and Catherine with their 3 children. You will probably spot all of us at some point during your stay, but you will be checked in by either Lynda, Danielle or Catherine, we’re all called Mrs Barker so that will be easy to remember!

We are a family run farm, so there is usually somebody around to help if you need it. Lynda, Cath and Danielle will book you in and out, but don’t worry if you can’t remember our names - we’re all called Mrs Barker!
You might also spot our farmers - James, Barry & Kevin working away in the farmyard below the pod site.
