'The Stables' as the name suggests is a converted stable complex, converted in 2002, the house uses lots of traditional pine inside with wooden floors and wooden ceilings upstairs and handmade pine doors throughout. The house is located adjacent to award-winning Knockdrinna Cafe which is open for Breakfast and Lunch 5 days per week. There are outdoor seating areas. Guests can pre-order from the cafe's takeaway menu including dinner on your arrival Details on the Knockdrinna website.

The space
'The Stables' is part of a complex of 5 traditional stone farm buildings on Robert and Helen Finnegan's farm, each one making the most of the building's unique characteristics.
The building complex a number of outdoor seating areas including an area where a fire pit can be lit for a sociable outdoor space in the evenings.
The ground floor consists of a large open plan kitchen/living/dining with wood-burning stove, this area is ideal for large groups. Downstairs also has one single room and a toilet/shower. Upstairs consists of one double room ensuite, one double room, a twin room, and a separate bathroom.

Guest access
The Stables is located in the village of Stoneford which has Knockdrinna Cafe in its yard and Malzards Pub just across the street. Parking is on the street.

Other things to note
Guests can order pre-order food for delivery prior to or during their arrival. This includes breakfast and dinner which can be pre-ordered directly from tye knockdrinna cafe . Contact Helen directly if you wish to avail of this offer

The village of Stoneyford is uniquely situated just 18K from the medieval City of Kilkenny which is a very popular tourist destination. Also in the area is Jerpoint Abbey, Jerpoint Glass and Kells priory all within a short drive and well worth a visit. The village also hosts an award-winning tourist pub, 'Malzards' which is just across from the road from the property.
