Our darling 1 BDRM attached apt with kitchenette is conveniently located about five minutes to the 101 freeway, which is the main artery to everything here on the Central Coast. This includes wineries, restaurants, outlet shopping, our historic Arroyo Grande Village and all of our local beaches, each with their own character. Guests also love to visit Port San Luis with it's great boat launch and Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreational Park where you can still drive on the beach.
Our 1 BDRM apt with queen bed for one or two has a separate, well-lit entrance with street or off-street parking. We have a large living room with kitchenette, which includes a double-sink, full fridge with filtered ice provided, microwave, toaster, electric tea pot, coffee maker and fixins, dishes, flatware, and glasses (no stove). We offer free WiFi, two cable TVs, heater vented on outside wall, two beach chairs and umbrellas, iron & board, broom & dustpan, bath, hand-towels, washcloths, fire extinguisher, and more. Bathroom is nice size with tub.
Guest parking, should you choose to park there, is available either on the street or in half-driveway next to mailbox. Entrance to apartment begins where half-driveway ends at patio light arbor and walkway, which leads between houses to apt. porch. Our Self-Check-In system allows guests to let themselves in after 3:00 pm on reservation day no matter how late. We feel this arrangement free's our guests from a burdensome schedule and contributes to their privacy as well as our own. There is a small patio off apt with bistro table and chairs.
Interaction with guests
Apt has a separate entrance leading from half-driveway next to mailbox to walkway between houses to apt porch. This entrance has good lighting to help guide guest to apt. porch where they will find key. We personally park on long driveway closest to garage and occasionally run into guests coming or going. I encourage guests to call or text if they have questions or need help with anything. Apt addition was built with permits and is connected to our half of house by a door that is double-locked on both sides. Zoning does not allow stove. You will find brochures in apartment featuring local sights and events.
Other things to note
We do not accept reservations made on behalf of others as we have discovered that because these guests have not gone through Airbnb processing we have no legal relationship with them. We end up having non-verified guests who have no concept of our house rules as they have not agreed to them in advance.
No smoking in apt or on property of anything. Please do not invite additional guests after making reservation, including adult children. We will have to charge you. We do not restrict the comings or goings of our guests, but late night visits by unregistered friends is not permitted. No pets under any circumstances.

We originally designed our apartment for our youngest daughter and after a long succession of tenants decided to give Airbnb a try. The apt. has a separate entrance and is attached to the main house by a connecting door which is double-locked on both sides. Our check-in system allows guests to let themselves in early or late, so there is privacy enjoyed for all.
