Situated a stone's throw from Holyrood Park, in the calm and quiet Meadowbank area of Edinburgh. You'll feel right at home in my apartment.
I have a separate kitchen and living room area which you are welcome to use: also I have a piano and some good Bose speakers for you to use.
Guests are welcome to make full use of everything in my flat - play my piano, bake a cake, whatever you like.
The space
A cosy traditional tenement flat, on the 2nd floor, you'll have your own bedroom with double bed.
The bedroom door has a lock which gives you full privacy.
It overlooks the back garden (unfortunately I don't have access) so is very (extremely)quiet all day and night; you can hear a pin drop, it's lovely. My neighbours are very quiet too. It is south facing, so there's lots of natural light if you're looking for somewhere to focus and work or study..
There is space for you to work, I've put a lovely antique desk and stool. (If the stool isn't comfortable, why not take a chair from the dining table in the living room?) I've also provided a lounging chair (it's from a doctor's surgery waiting room! Haha, vintage. I love it.)
I have added a wardrobe so you can tidy all of your clothes away, to make yourself at home.
Guest access
In addition to your own lockable private bedroom, you will also have shared access to the kitchen, bathroom and living room. At the moment, during Covid times, access to the living room will be by request which is no problem. If you want to sit at the table for dinner, rather than sitting at the breakfast table in the kitchen.
Other things to note
I do expect guests to be aware of the Covid-19 situation and to comply with government advice -- that means no partying or inviting guests over. I maintain physical distance from guests (it's very strange to walk backwards when talking to someone, but I think we're all used to it now!)

Very quiet and safe area. It's ideal for access to buses to the city centre and to other areas of Edinburgh (Portobello beach, or Musselburgh.)
The flat is less than 1 minute walk to Holyrood Park, which is lovely to get some fresh air. If you want to walk to the city centre, the scenic route is through the park and Old Town, rather than walking along London Road which is quite busy with cars and buses.
Large supermarket 10 minutes walk away, Meadowbank retail park, TK Maxx/Sainsburys/Poundland or if you walk in the other direction Morrisons is there as well.

During your stay
I generally leave guests to do their own thing. The recent Covid guidance is that face masks should be worn if interacting with guests. It does make the Airbnb experience a little different, but I will be home if you need something. Other than that, I prefer if we don't use the same room at the same time, I wipe down surfaces often anyway.
