Location

Nerong, New South Wales, Australia

There are many native animals such as kangaroos, goannas and a large variety of birdlife in this quaint village. It is an 8 minute drive north to Bulahdelah shops. There are Bushwalking trails and swimming areas to relax in the tea tree waters. Great for Boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, SUP and exploring the lakes. There are excellent beaches and other areas to access the lakes within 30 - 40 minutes drive , for example, Jimmy’s beach, Neranie (good for littlies), Hawks nest, Tea gardens and Seal rocks. A walk to Sugarloaf Lighthouse at Seal Rocks is great.
Broughton Island day trip on Tea Garden ferry service. Try oysters in Karuah or Tea Gardens. Farmers market in Nabiac last saturday of every month. Valley view Farm &Co at Rainbow Flat good for garlic , pickles etc. You could visit Yeo Farm in Bulahdelah , a local lamb farm.
Nabiac is approx 30 mins drive away, and has National Motorcycle Museum, nice cafes and a Curiosity Shop. Also in that vicinity is Villa D’este Winery. The Grub Cafe at Wingham is worth a visit for lunch.

I have lived in Newport, on northern beaches of Sydney all my life. Prior to covid19 I was a travel consultant for many years. My partner Luke and I, also have an Airbnb called Bimbimbi, in Nerong, in the Myall lakes area (3hr drive north of Sydney) which we love escaping to for a relaxing break.
