Pro’s: the view Con’s: the swimming hole in the backyard is often occupied by locals and other renters nearby that are sold on that same spot so it’s not private for your family. Disposing of your own trash is a hassle and if you should leave something behind, you’re charged an…

Response from Thomas:
I am sorry that the only redeeming factor you found of our home is the view. As for the river—it is not private property and the house description specifically says that people come from all over to enjoy it. We do not publicize it as bring private. Also in the house description you are told there is no garbage service and that you are expected to dispose of your own garbage. You have this information before you book, so it should come as no surprise to you. The house Manual is very extensive, however, all guests receive the relevant information in a separate email before arrival. That email tells each guest that there is a very detailed manual with every detail you should ever want to know. You are not asked to read it, It is there if needed. Again, I am sorry if our home did not meet your expectations.

We were amazed as soon as we walked in. The river views are amazing and being nestled in the trees will make this trip a memory for all of us to cherish. Coffee in the morning on the patio while listening to the river and 4th of July BBQ - it don't get any better! The only thing…

Thank you Dan. We love it there and always love to hear others do as well. We purchased the cabin when our youngest child, now 34, was only 2. We have had many years of enjoyment. Hope you will stay again.

Our trip to the cabin was during winters for a ski trip. It is very close to the Sierra ski resort so good for a group stay. They kitchen was well equipped with dinnerware, cookware and silverware. Please carry food to cook because there is no grocery store close by. We had a bea…

Response from Thomas:
Hi Prachi: Thank you for your comments. It is true that depending on snowfall, no matter what time of day or night you arrive in the winter, you may have to shovel to park or to enter the house. The snow removal company comes when there is 4 to 6 inches of snow and will continue to come in the daylight hours while snow is falling--but ours is only one of many cabins that they service in our area, so they remove the snow as quickly as they can. Unfortunately, this is one of the "privileges" of having a winter vacation home in an isolated area. Yes, we do request that guests dispose of their own garbage and we give instructions on options of how to do that. Important that guests read, in detail, the information that is provided to them in a pre-arrival email and use the Guest Booklet while at the cabin for any additional questions. I hope that despite the snow shoveling inconvenience that you and your friends did enjoy the Cabin. it is important to us that our guests enjoy our cabin as much as our family enjoys it. Take care.
