Set within a granite 19th century courtyard with access to the grounds of Lisnavagh House. Ten double rooms ensuite with kitchen/dining barn area with wood burning stove and French doors to keep the heat in or have open on a summers evening. Brilliant for groups from ten to twenty people for outdoorsy type stay. The style is quirky and rustic. Suitable for social gatherings or zen hen/stag parties. Firepit in courtyard and BBQ available. Sauna and woodland lake available to book by appointment.
The space
The style is quirky and cosy with comfortable beds and simple surroundings. The Barn is a lounge area with wood burning stove where guests can use the basic facilities to cook up a feast or a bbq.
Each stable sleeps up to two people. It's best for a group of ten or more. There’s no single occupancy rate.
You will have access to Lisnavagh Gardens and many woodland walks. There is a riding centre up the road and golf clubs, Wicklow Way and gardens to visit in the area.
We live in Lisnavagh House just next door so we would see you around during your stay for any queries.
Our neighbourhood consists of new and old stone and granite houses through the rolling countryside and close to Rathvilly, our local village. There is a shop, pubs and post office in Rathvilly and bigger shops in Tullow for supermarket shopping.
The closest bus stop is Bus Eireann that comes through Rathvilly twice a day from Dublin City Centre to Waterford City. There is also JJ Kavanagh service that comes direct from Dublin Airport to Castledermott or Carlow which are 15-20 minutes away from Lisnavagh. There is also a train station in Carlow Town.
