A mid 19th century old stone cottage on the borders of Wicklow and Carlow. Situated at the entrance to Lisnavagh House & Gardens with excellent views of the Wicklow Mountains. Sauna and woodland lake available to book on site by appointment.

The space
A real "getaway" stay within easy reach of Dublin. Cosy cottage with open fire and wood burning stove. We leave a welcome/starter pack in the fridge. Otherwise the cottage is self catering. Lovely views of Wicklow Mountains and walks through Lisnavagh gardens and woodlands and further walks on the Wicklow Way nearby. Opportunity to take additional cottage next door if required that connects internally to the Schoolhouse. Both cottages together sleep 10 guests.

Guest access
Guests have access to the renowned Lisnavagh Gardens as well as lots of woodland walks through Lisnavagh Estate. Locally there is a riding centre and golf courses.

Our neighbourhood is a community feel with houses interspersed through the countryside. Rathvilly is the local village which has a shop, pharmacy, local pubs, betting office and post office. It has a both a Catholic and Church of Ireland church. Rathvilly is situated 3 miles from the Schoolhouse.

I’m a mum and manager of Lisnavagh House & Gardens. I live here with my family and Lisnavagh is my husbands ancestral home. We like to travel too when we need some time off from Lisnavagh which is a beautiful place but lots of work!!!
