The home is lovely and located I The beautiful countryside for East Clare. Very close to Ennis, Tulla and Feakle while offering brief rides to the coast, Galway and Shannon. Christine greeted us and hade made a delicious leek soup for us to eat. We made great use of the vegetables and herbs in the garden. The home accommodated our party of six well and could have handled a few more. The layout permits those who wish to retire early to rest comfortably with no interruptions while others can still socialize in the front room. Overall, I highly recommend this home if you are seeking to stay in the Irish countryside.

We had a wonderful experience at Arboula House! Christine does a great job with having everything set up for arrival. She even baked us a coconut cake that was delicious! The house itself is spacious with a great kitchen and nice bedrooms/bathrooms.

The Ardboula farm house is completely remodeled and updated with elegance and beauty. We were in awe upon arrival! The pictures do not do it justice. The house is equipped with everything you need, including laundry, kitchenware, etc. The location is remote, but it's not too far from Ennis (15 minutes) and closer to other small towns like Tulla and Feakle. Both are great towns with great pubs and amazing people. The drive to Doolin to hike the Cliffs of Moher took 45 minutes, which was totally reasonable and took us through some lovely villages. Christine and Willy were great hosts. They met us shortly after arrival, gave us great advice about places to travel in the area (and even in Dublin), checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything. We spent an evening with them learning how to sheaf toss and having a few drinks at the pub. We left Ardboula having made new friends. I would visit Ardboula again in a heartbeat. Thanks Christine, Willy, Georgia, Tristan, and Cassidy.

Christine and family were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed getting to know them and having our daughter, Isa, age four, play with their children. If you are looking for a rustic experience with added comforts, this is your place.

We loved staying at the Ardboula house! Christine and her kids met us after we arrived, told us about its neat history, and gave us a general orientation. Our kids felt like we were staying in a castle. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed picking the mustard plants and black currants and more to make our fresh salads. Christine and Willie were responsive to our minor issues. The house was a great retreat after busy days in County Clare. We would love to stay again in their spacious country home.

Our host was exceedingly gracious. For example, we arrived earlier than she expected and she made sure to meet us right away. She explained all of the intricacies of the house and showed us her beautiful vegetable gardens. The house exceeded descriptions. It was really quite the place. We enjoyed being there in the quiet countryside in Ireland. The deck off of the second floor provided a great sitting/viewing area. In fact, late one night (actually early morning in the Irish summer) we sat out on the deck having a glass of wine and loved the view of the Milky Way splashed across the sky above Ardboula. Another positive aspect of the house was the history that our host gave us concerning the monumental work she and her husband have done to redesign the interior and exterior of the house. We are very interested in older houses and since this one dates from the 1700's we were fascinated to learn what they have done to keep it historical but also to give it a modern, comfortable feel.
