The Hobbit Cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Shropshire Hills. Guests will have access to their own private space with separate entrance and all amenities to hand. A very cosy space with loads of character. As the property is over 200 years old, and as the name of the let hints at, it has areas with restricted headroom. Perfect for the modern hobbit! Orcs may struggle.
A great area for walkers and four legged friends who are welcome at The Hobbit Cottage.
The space
The property has its own entrance which is on street level. You enter into the oldest part of the property which has a dining, sitting area with galley kitchen. Breakfast ingredients provided - continental or full English or both! As guests have access to the galley kitchen, they will be able to make whatever meals they like. The property has a wealth of original features with flagstone and tile floor on the ground level, Up the winding stairs to a small landing and shower room (this room has height issues!) The bedroom has views out over the prevailing hills and private garden. A perfect place to retreat too after a day walking in the hills or exploring the local area which includes the market towns of Ludlow, Bishops Castle, Church Stretton and Craven Arms.
Guest access
The Hobbit Cottage is a separate space within the house. Guests will have sole occupancy of all the rooms within the Cottage which has its own separate entrance. There is a key safe for ease of access. At the moment there is ongoing work in the garden, but the cottage will have a separate garden attached to it, so great for sitting outside and somewhere that four legged friends can run around.
Other things to note
Well behaved dogs are welcome. The garden area attached to the Hobbit Cottage will be fenced as running around the other parts of the garden are free range hens, cockerels and two resident cats - which rule the roost!

The Hobbit Cottage is situated in a very quiet hamlet, surrounded by hills. There are no amenities in the hamlet, apart from the Church. The nearest shop and Pub are 1.5 miles in Aston on Clun, home of the famous Arbor Tree. Stokesay Castle ( English Heritage) and Stokesay Court (film location for Atonement) are only a few miles away. Bishops Castle with the famous Woods Brewery is only 6 miles away from the Hobbit Cottage. Lots to see and do, and would suit those wanting to explore the locality as there are a wealth of public footpaths and rights of way.
