Once inside, you will find a bright studio apartment containing a kitchenette, queen sized bed (with newer memory foam mattress), private bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower, sitting and eating areas, a large closet, and shared access to the backyard and BBQ.

The kitchenette is well equipped for guests to prepare simple meals. There is no stove, but it contains a microwave, toaster oven, induction hot plate, and a variety of utensils and cookware to create your own meals or enjoy a nice take-away.

There is a TV with an Apple TV to stream Netflix. Connect your device to the speaker system with Bluetooth to enjoy music. There are 2 power bars provided, with USB and regular outlets, as well as an international power converter if required.

Please note that this basement suite is NOT suitable for guests with mobility issues. Guests will need to ascend the exterior stairs to access the guest entrance, and then descend a set of interior stairs to access the suite (please see photos).

Guest have full, uninterrupted access to the entire basement suite. The backyard, patio, and BBQ are shared spaces with me.

Hi, my name is Erica and I look forward to getting to know you, as a guest or a host! Until then, here is a little about me: Where did you grow up? Born and raised in St Albert, AB, Canada. After traveling for a few years, I bought my first house a block and a half away from my childhood home. What’s your occupation? I am a project coordinator for a construction company. I typically work from 8-5 at an office in Edmonton. I am new to the construction industry so the steep learning curve has been an exciting challenge. What are your hobbies and passions? I enjoy baking with my mum - we are working on perfecting our macaron recipe but make lots of other treats as well! I also enjoy camping, hiking, and have recently taken up the art of lapidary (polishing of stones and gems). What are your favorite places to travel to? I have been to 43 countries and have found something I’ve liked about all of them! I typically lean towards locations with lots of history, culture, and good food. What kind of books do you like? I mostly read fiction novels. I am a huuuuuge Potterhead and have read that series quite a few times. If there is anything else you’d like to know, please ask!
