The cottage is fully refurbished, it has three bedrooms, one bathroom, living room and modern kitchen.
This house is suitable for up to to six people. We cannot facilitate for more than six people at any given time. The house is strictly NO parties and NO pets.
This house is an ideal place for anyone who is interested in a quiet getaway, you can go for a walk or go cycling around the area.
If you have any trouble finding the cottage we will send the Eircode of the house before your arrival.
The space
This property overlooks Lough Melvin which has the world famous Trout and Salmon Lake in Rossinver Co Leitrim with views of Donegal Mountains, you can hire a boat for fishing from two local boat clubs that are within walking distance.
The nearest pub and shop are less than a mile away in the village of Garrison which has a local SPAR shop/post office and an Off License in one building with pub adjacent to the shop and an another Pub across the way which provides meals at the weekend along with complete restaurant open 7 days a week for sit in or takeaway. Garrison also has a park for Children with Astro Pitch.
There is a Pharmacy in Garrison called Melvin Pharmacy. The pharmacy is a short distance away from the local shop.
There is also an artist studio called Camlake Canvas where you can also view or buy some paintings.
There is also an water activity centre called Corralea located in Belcoo, Co Fermanagh which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage. This water activity centre lets visitors choose from different options including Electric Bike Hire and Canoe & SUP Hire.
There is another tourist attraction situated in Glenade, an area outside of Kinlough Co Leitrim called Eagle's Rock. This is ideal for people who are interested in hiking. The walk is 3 km long. The hike usually lasts between 2-3 hours.
The area boasts some amazing lake and mountain scenery and is twelve miles from Bundoran where sea fishing trips and surfing lessons await. You can hire bikes daily or weekly from the Bike Shop in Bundoran.
There are walking trails and cycle routes, with the famous Stairway to Heaven boardwalk 15 miles away. The Fowley Falls walk is only a mile away too.
Sligo and Enniskillen are a 30 minute drive away from this house.
Guest access
There is ample parking at the cottage for up to 3 cars and a fishing boat with a trailer.
There is a private entrance no busy road nearby extremely quiet
closed off area, secured by two gates and complete mesh fence surrounds the boundary.
Other things to note
Gilies for fishing on the Lake can be arranged with up to two weeks notice from the date guests have booked. Boats, rods and Insurance for Day Passes or Weekly Passes from either boat clubs in Rossinver, Leitrim or Garrison Co Fermanagh.
