Annie's place and Annie herself are just FAB!Annie will go above and beyond to give you info on local touristy spots, local eateries (we got a free bottle of wine from the local Pub on our first night because we had been sent from Annie's) and to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
She also has WiFi that she'll give you the code to connect to.
She has two huts at her place which are both gorgeous. My boyfriend and i stayed in Herbie the Hut. The bed was huge and the sheets very cosy. The wood burner was so romantic and smelled divine but most importantly was straight forward to use and did its job. It kept us warm day and night. So toasty ;-) The hut was very pretty and also had a lovely little bathroom which had a sink, toilet, storage space, a window and a very hot power shower.
While we were there she recommended a very nice walk to do nearby and also told us about Salisbury Cathedral (the church with the highest steeple in England). Neither disappointed.
We also did a sunset tour of Stonehenge which is only 10 from Herbie the Hut. It was incredible!!!
Our favourite thing about Annie's house, with the exception of Millie the cutest dog ever, was her breakfast. It was delicious. FResh scrambled eggs from her very own chickens out back, salty bacon, a never ending supply of compotes, jams and spreads, her fresh orange and ginger juice (Good Morning World!) and her home made yoghurt and muesli! JUst divine! She also had a selection of fresh tea and coffee.
On our second night after a long day and plkenty of fresh air we decided we wanted to have a cozy romantic night in the hut and not venture out. Annie told us about a local Indian place which we ordered from and delivered right to Herbie's door.
She gave us bottle of water every day and was always asking us if we wanted some chocolate or biscuits to take back to the hut...probably because i had already inhaled the ones she'd left for our arrival the moment i stepped foot through Herbie's door.
Cant speak highly enough of Annie. We had an amazing trip thanks to this lovely lady's hospitality! Thanks Annie!! x
