The space
The Mermaid guest suite is in a separate wing of our house and consists of bedroom with a queen size pillow top bed and a living room with sofa that can be opened into a queen sized bed. The suite overlooks the ocean and harbor with mountain foothills in the background. Just through the sliding glass doors of your living room is a large deck with hot tub overlooking the ocean. We have a private acre lot so bathing suits are optional! Here you can relax and watch the moon glistening on the waves, the fishing boats arriving and departing, or the fog creeping down the mountains. Observant guests may see osprey, otters, harbor seals, sea lions, whales, or even the occasional mermaid.

Brookings-Harbor is on the Wild Rivers Coast of Oregon, 20 miles north of Crescent City, California and midway between Portland and San Francisco. Brookings has several excellent restaurants and art galleries. Live music is frequently featured in various venues. We enjoy a variety of natural beauty in this area, from some of the oldest Redwood groves to whitewater rivers to sand dunes to our beautiful rocky coast. We can point you to innumerable hiking trails along the coast or in nearby redwood forests.

Variety, from small Fishermen's homes to large upscale homes. Deer wander the neighborhood freely (heck on gardens but lovely to look at). Several great restaurants within walking distance (Superfly, Pacific sushi, Black Trumpet bistro, oxenfre), and other great restaurants just a few minutes away by car.
