Your own private entrance into your private bungalow detached from the house in our backyard. The bathroom is NOT attached but located in the main house about 10 steps from the bungalow. Adorable decor, bamboo floors, queen-sized bed comfortably accommodating two, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and more!!!
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in Costa Mesa only a 3 mile drive from the beach and a short walk to Back Bay. While our backyard lends itself to great entertaining, a giant jungle gym, a trampoline, a gazebo, room for our dog to roam, we decided to build a modern-looking studio tucked in the corner next to our avocado tree. Since we have extended family, who live all over, we really wanted them to have a place of their own to stay whenever they visit. Our kids, dogs, and neighborhood friends play in our backyard and pass through to the cul-de-sac behind us, while we enjoy hanging with friends and family on our large backyard patio!
Costa Mesa is centrally located half-way in between San Diego and Los Angeles in beautiful Orange County, just 5 minutes from John Wayne Airport. Within a 5 mile radius, the bungalow is located amongst some of the most highly rated shopping centers and restaurants in the world. With shopping, dining, or simply finding fun activities, the bungalow sits right at the crossroads. In addition, easy access to conventions in Anaheim to the beaches of Newport to shopping at South Coast Plaza, the bungalow is the right retreat. While the bungalow is a cozy 120 sq. feet, you have your own entrance creating a more private atmosphere. The bungalow is equipped with a brand new television, hooked up with wifi, fun décor, a mini refrigerator, and cute little patio. The bungalow, however, does not have an attached bathroom or shower so guests do need to walk outside to the main house to use the guest bathroom. We are a family of four living in our house with 3 bathrooms, so you may run into our kids but there is plenty of room to share. With all this room, we unfortunately can not accept pets!
Guests will have access to the bungalow with their own private entrance. Guests can come in through the side gate without coming through the house, however, if I am home, guests can come through the house to the bungalow, making sure our dog doesn't escape the side gate. Guests will get there own key and back patio door will be unlocked for access to the bathroom.
Other things to note
It is very important when coming in through the side gate to MAKE SURE that the dog doesn't escape. Also, although we have a very friendly dog, we can't have another animal or pet on the premises, simply because we don't want to risk happening to your doc!
Please no smoking, no pets, or loud partying, otherwise we would love to have you stay with us!
If my family and friends are swirling around the house, guests can choose whether or not they would like to interact. We do have a large, black Labrador who is very friendly but barks when he first meets someone new. Although we can't risk having another dog here, we love meeting new people from different places as well as respecting your solitude!! We are so sorry that we can't accommodate your pet...we just don't want anything unexpected to happen.
Local girl, who met her man on an outrigger team, fell in love, bought a house, had two super awesome kids complete with a big black labrador dog. My husband, daughter, and son are my priority, as I teach during the day and proud mom every other moment. Outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, teaching kids science seem to fill up my bucket. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, paddling, and going on road trips. While I strive to drink more green tea, eat grapefruit, blend kale and spinach with coconut water, and practice yoga on a regular basis, I would love to meet people from all over the world in the meantime!
