We had a lovely stay at the Yurt. Very spacious and everything you need for self catering is there. Great location with a short walk to the store, wifi and the pool/ocean. We would love to go back again. Many thanks Shelyl for a great getaway!

We LOVED our Awesome Blossom experience! The yurt is in a beautiful location, walking distance to gorgeous Gorge harbour, and within a 15 minute drive to pretty much anywhere on the island. It is toddler friendly - our 20 month old had a blast and adored watching the the deer visit the grassy area in front of the yurt. This is a wonderful place to 'glamp' and escape the city!

Beautiful location. Wonderful space. Perfectly located in the forest for peace and tranquility. Bring incense and plenty of natural bug repellant. You are living with the smallest footprint on the planet and amongst the natural world. We wouldn't have it any other way...:-)

Sheryl met us upon our arrival, was very friendly, and gave a wonderful tour of our yurt. It was very private, perfect for a romantic getaway or glamping experience. We fell totally in love with the island, and can't wait for our next visit.

Response from Sheryl:
Alana and Paul and Maggie were possibly the tidiest Glampers we've ever had in the yurt. Quiet, pleasant and independent. We'd host these guys anytime.

This place was excellent. The location was fantastic (walking distance to Gorge Harbour) and the yurt was SO relaxing. The only issue was that the main door didn't work properly. Staying in a yurt (at least this one) is a magical experience that provides time for relaxation and reflection. We plan on returning next year to the same yurt!

We had an amazing time on Cortes staying at Sheryl and Bob's place! If you're looking you stay at a yurt in the forest with a sawdust toilet then you're probably the kind of person that would find this place absolutely perfect.

About Sheryl

When Katz took early retirement and suggested we move to Cortes Island I was first concerned that he might be barking mad, until I came to check out the island myself.Moving to Cortes would mean abandoning my life and career in Toronto after 25 years of struggling to maintain it. Needless to say, I opted for building the dream on the little island on the edge of world. Once in paradise, there is no looking back!
