Mark and Alison moved from UK to Vermenton in 2008 ,to run a B&B and enjoy a more relaxed life , after our son left home to start university. Mark is still a management training consultant for various companies in UK. Alison previously ran a Conference Venue Search agency. We are mid 60's and divide our time between France in the spring, summer and autumn and the southern hemisphere to escape the winter! Our main destination is New Zealand for the scenery, pleasant climate and the friends we have made there. We do this mainly via home exchanges.
We also love our time in France- the weather, the laid back lifestyle, long lunches with friends, the frequent live music events,;we enjoy the lack of traffic, and queuing (except to buy a train ticket!), the beautiful countryside in which we love to walk, cycle and canoe.
Through running our B&B and home exhanging, we get to host many interesting people from around the world, who come for various reasons-canal trips, cycling and walking holidays, the vineyards ,the historical towns, villages, chateaux,
We really enjoy making sure that people who stay here, get the best out of their time in the area and feel at home in our house. We are always happy to provide information on what is on offer in this area.
