Why not come and relax in our cosy hobbit retreat. Totally private and in your own exclusive area, tucked away in a corner of the glorious Cheshire countryside, a perfect snug for a romantic getaway.
The snug is on the Cheshire/Shropshire/Staffordshire border with many places to visit in the immediate vicinity, Plus many great pubs serving excellent food and ale, and local pretty walks.
The snug is situated on its own in our top paddock ensuring total exclusivity to ensure maximum tranquillity

The space
If you're looking for magical adventure and would like to step out of reality and rest a while then look no further! The Hobbitesque Snug is a quirky and unique experience, something a little different, and very romantic with its cosy wooden structure which smells of pine inside and its Hobbit like round windows and door. It is situated completely in its own private grounds, so it's exclusively yours, quite a rare find! At night time you can hear owls hooting, foxes barking and see the bat's flitting about catching their dinner! . It’s a special place to be close to nature. It is a unique stay whether in the glorious sunshine, the driving wind and rain or the most cozy is the cold frosty wintertime.
The snug has 2 rooms, 1 lounge area which has a small and very comfortable recliner sofa and 1 bedroom which has a small double bed - the bedroom is separated by a round hole which you climb through and has curtains for privacy. Please see photos.
There is a separate converted rustic hut outside the snug that has the toilet/shower and sink. (see photos)
We have the facilities to sleep 3 people, ideally made for a couple and child (a John Lewis foam free smart mattress single fold out bed in the lounge and a small double bed in the bedroom)
We believe in taking away all the modern stresses in todays lifestyle so do not provide Wifi, though there is a TV and DVD player should you wish to watch it, or maybe relax over a glass of wine and watch a roaring log fire whilst toasting marshmallows... there is a barbeque for you to use and a local butcher at Bridgemere Gardens Centre which you can walk to via the country lanes (just a mile away) who can supply organic meat of superb quality. There is also a delicatesan and a huge fruit and veg stall. The snug is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and a toaster. During the Summer months there is an undercover gazebo and we can provide a camping oven and a 2 ring hotplate upon request, they are small and basic but can provide an outdoor area if you wish to cook.. If you prefer to eat out then we have some fabulous country pubs around us who also do take aways.
We provide a bag of logs for outdoor log fires and marshmallows for toasting upon request (£10) Tea, coffee and biscuits are complimentary, and semi-skimmed milk will be in your fridge. Please just ask if you prefer a milk alternative.
Please also let us know if you would like to purchase barbeque coals/firelighters (£5)
Because of the quirky nature of the cozy cabin retreat, there are steps and round doors to climb through in to the snug and therefore unsuitable for anybody with mobility issues.
You will need a car as we are in the middle of nowhere :) The nearest pub is 2 miles away, and the nearest village is a 5 minute drive or you can walk there via footpaths.. There are many lovely walks in the local area and we are only a short drive away from the famous Sandstone Trail if you like long walks in the countryside. There are local maps included in the information folder inside the Snug.
For Winter stays (October - April) please note that due to ground conditions it may not be possible to drive up to the Hobbit house, we have a private yard outside our house where you can park your car and walk up to the retreat, please bring your wellies and waterproof jacket incase it’s rainy :-)
No dogs please.

Please see the lovely review below left by one of our guests who is a well travelled holiday blogger - CocoTravels.co.uk

Other things to note
Please be aware that children will need to be supervised at all times due to the nature of the Hobbit hut and pay for any breakages or damage.

Bedding and towels are provided as well as organic chemical free shampoo/conditioner.
Please note that it is a Glamping experience in the countryside and therefore sometimes you may encounter wildlife and insects,

There are also glasses, plates, dishes and cutlery as well as BBQ utensils. There is a toaster available upon request. There is also a cafetiere if you like a nice fresh filter coffee in the morning :-)

Please also note there are dogs on the property, we have 2 small friendly dogs and our next door neighbours have 2 large friendly dogs, because of this we unfortunately say no to guests bringing dogs.
Please drive slowly around our property.

No candles to be burnt inside the Hobbit home please (fire risk)

We ask that you be respectful of our environment and to not play loud music. Thank-you.
Bring your wellies if coming in Winter! :)
