Two cozy bedrooms with an efficient kitchen make this an ideal weekend getaway or base to explore both north and south Berkshire county in every season. About a mile from Jiminy Peak Ski Resort, less than 5 minutes to Bloom Meadows, 15 minutes to both Williamstown and Pittsfield, and 30 minutes to Mass MoCA, the wooded mountainside surroundings let you enjoy nature at its finest while easily getting to the area's many cultural attractions.

The space
The space is ideal for those who mostly want a clean and comfortable place to sleep before heading out for the day and who may want to make their own food rather than having to go out to eat all the time. It sleeps 3 comfortably, but may feel small if you spend a lot of time in the apartment, as one bed is adjacent to the eating area. It's an ideal stay for a family with one or two kids, young couples, or travelers who are comfortable sharing space with each other, and you can share outdoor space on the deck, yard, or play tennis.

Guest access
Guests access the apartment through a separate entrance through the garage, but are welcome to use the deck, which is wonderful for sitting with coffee or a drink and relaxing, and can walk around the property. Some tennis rackets, balls, and lawn toys are on the shelves near the entrance so feel free to use those. If you have kids, they can enjoy the sturdy wooden playground equipment in the yard.

Other things to note
In the winter months the driveway can sometimes be inaccessible without all-wheel drive, chains, or studded tires, even after it's plowed and sanded, which gets done within a day of snowstorms. Parking at the bottom of the driveway is fine, as long as it does not block the neighbor's access.

NOTE: Most cultural attractions throughout Berkshire county have been canceled for the 2020 summer season because of the pandemic.

The ski resort's lighted slopes shine through the trees a mile away during the winter months, and its many year-round activities make it an easy go-to destination. Fall leaves are spectacular on and around the property, and you can't miss Ioka Valley Farm's Calf-A weekend pancake breakfasts from February to early April, and their farm events throughout the year.

North county cultural attractions in Williamstown (Clarke Institute, etc.) and North Adams (Mass MoCA, etc.) are 15 and 30 minutes away, respectively. South county attractions such as Kripalu yoga center and Tanglewood are about 30 minutes away.

The wedding venue Bloom Meadows is less than a 5-minute drive away.

I'm an energy healer and Mongolian shaman, as well as a certified hypnotist and ayervedic nutrition counselor. Besides my healing and energy work, I conduct workshops and retreats in the Berkshires and New York. My husband Shawn is a professor of digital journalism and communications at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and he will be the one mostly corresponding with guests. We've got two people-friendly dogs that you may see wandering the propery, though one may be initially wary of strangers and bark at you until she figures out you're okay after all.
