Beautiful semi-detached barn conversion professionally designed to a high standard, offering modern comforts whilst retaining an authentic feel. Situated in the grounds of the owner’s working farm, who are on hand to offer advice on the local area, the cottages are in an excellent central location on the Tipperary/Offaly border, almost equidistant from the picturesque town of Birr, 7½km, and one of the oldest towns in Ireland, Roscrea, 6km, and a 2km drive from Gloster house and wedding venue.

The space
Outside there is a large covered barbecue and seating area, ideal for al fresco dining, or for a cosy night in by the wood burner, evening meals can be ordered from the main house (by prior arrangement) via a connecting phone. A few minutes’ away is the village of Kinnitty, at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, where there are hiking trails for all ages to get off the beaten track and enjoy the spectacular views of the Midlands from an elevated position.

Birr, County Offaly, Ireland

Heaving with history, nearby Birr is one of Ireland’s premier heritage towns with its handsome ensemble of Georgian architecture and tree-lined avenues. Visit Birr Castle with its stunning formal gardens and interactive Science Centre, enjoy a show at Birr theatre, a cross country trek at Birr equestrian centre, or take one of the walking trails starting from the town square, such as the Birr Town Trail, a great way to explore the town, or the pretty Riverbank Walk trail. Love hosting guests and advising them about the locality. We live very centrally , so access to major cities and airports is only about one and a half hours drive . We live on a working organic , tillage farm ,with willow ,beef cattle , some hens and three dogs. We are located 12 km from both Birr and Roscrea . We are 2km from Gloster House , Kinnity Castle , Birr and Roscrea castle , which is all in the heart of the Slieve blooms .
