Abbeyview House is situated within a 2 minute walk from the Royal Canal in Abbeyshrule village, the village itself has fantastic walkways weaving between the waterways and boglands. Guests can dine in the Rustic Inn Bar and Restaurant which has an excellent Bar food and a la carte menu. Rooney's Bar also in the village is a traditional Irish bar which is also a lovey spot for a refreshing beverage. Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre is a short drive as is the Hill of Uisneach which are both important places from our ancient past. There are many activities to do and places to see in Longford and the surrounding counties. Flying lessons with Skyline Flying Club in Abbeyshrule Aerodrome, water Sports in Bay Sports, Canoeing on the River Inny or Royal Canal , walking on the Irish Famine Trail on the Royal Canal Greenway, having a relaxing day In Aqua Sana Spa, walking into ancient times with Knights and Conquests in Granard, to name but a few.....
