Interaction with guests
I'm a Frenchman who has been living in Prague for more than fifteen years. I speak good Czech ( I'm a translator) I am well acquainted not only with Prague, but also with the rest of the country and Czech culture. In our home, you will be a flatmate/guest/at home/member of the family; it's up to you to decide. I will be happy to share my experience of Czech Republic, and to give you some local tips. If you really need help, I will be available. I would like you to feel comfortable in our home, and to have all the privacy that you need.
The flat is located in Zizkov which is a bohemian area of Prague, and a hit with artists and expats alike. You will find the biggest concentration of pubs in the city. It's a green neighborhood, with winding streets, and is situated on a hill that overlooks the city. The neighborhood dates from the 19th century, and was built on the imperial winery. It is a traditional artisan area.
On our street, you will find a convenience store open until midnight, and just around the corner there is a 24 hour store.
On Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, there is a popular local farmers market on JZP which is a ten minute walk away.
The apartment is located in Zizkov which borders with the historical centre. It is a fifteen minute walk to Wenceslas Square, one tram stop away from the main station on the number 9 tram (the tram that crosses the historical centre, and the one you need to explore the city). During the day, there is a tram every two minutes. During the night, there is a tram every fifteen minutes. Coming back in a taxi from the old town centre costs 5 EURO / 7 USD.
We ask you to leave your room by 11:00, so we can prepare for guests arriving after you.
If you are not leaving Prague until late afternoon or evening, you can leave your bags in the living room and come back to collect them before leaving.
We ask you to give us your exact time of arrival (as well as your means of transport to reach Prague: plane, train, bus or car) at least two days before your arrival, so that we can be there to receive you at the time of your choice.
You can check in from 2 p.m. but if the room is available before, an early check-in is possible. Check-in before 9:00 or after 23:00 can disturb other guests in the flat.
If you think about arriving in the morning, there's a possibility to come over after 9:00 and store your baggage and you can even stay and have a rest or make yourself something to eat etc.
If you arrive by plane after 22:00, please take a taxi to arrive at the flat before 23:00.
In the Czech Republic, it is normal practice to remove your shoes before entering an apartment. It is not an obligation, but it is a tradition which presents a number of advantages : the floor is clean enough to walk on barefoot around the flat, and it is better preserved...
Please respect sleeping of other guests: be discreet between 23:00 and 8:00.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.

Jakub is 45 years old, he is French, he lives in Prague for more than 15 years. He is a translator from Czech to French, he created a film festival in France and also performs in dance-theater. He designed the apartment to share it with others. He wanted a large open living space (open to the others and open to all possible), a terrace with lots of flowers and a nice view, and he also wanted all the rooms to be well separated - that the rooms do not have Common walls (which is quite rare in Prague) - to preserve the privacy of each. He has a scooter but also a car. His animal fetish is the goulou-goulou - and like him, he likes to experiment in kitchen for his friends and to dive in the deepest waters.
