Location

Padua, Veneto, Italy

Located at just 25 miles (40.2 km) from the city of Venice, Padua (Padova) is one of the oldest cities in Italy. Padua was founded even before the Roman empire dating back to over 3000 years ago and houses some of the oldest historic building of Europe. The heart of the city has three big piazzas with so many streets for pedestrian walks. Housing one of the country’s oldest universities (University of Padua) founded in the year 1222, Padua is a busy town filled with young people. If you are someone who loves historic art, architecture and live music Padua is a must-go place in Italy. The Scrovegni Chapel by Giotto, the most important series of paintings in the world, is located at one-minute walk from apartment and it would be enough to justify a visit to Padua.
We are located in the historic center of Padua, a few steps from "Piazza delle Erbe" with the daily fruit market and next to "Palazzo della Ragione" that is a medieval town hall building with its great hall on the upper floor reputed to have the largest roof unsupported by columns in Europe and inside there are dozens of gourmet shops (ground floor) with all the delights of Italian cuisine where you can buy and then prepare at home a real Italian dinner.
You can live like a Paduan in the historic center and enjoy a walk downtown or take the train to visit Venice (27 minutes), Verona (40'), Bologna (59') or Lake Garda (1 hour) during the day and return home for a relaxing evening in your apartment.

I am living in Padua and I'm totally in love with this city so close to Venice where you can meet the most beautiful and amazing people from all the world. I'm an animal lover and I love different cultures and different people and I am an open mind person. Having been living in Padua for nearly a decade now I know a lot of great little places in the neighbourhood both new and old. Happy to help with getting around, recommendations for places to eat etc... From my experience travelling.... a little local knowledge goes along way! Amo viaggiare, sono una persona curiosa alla ricerca delle cose belle che ci sono nel mondo, magari in un posto lontano oppure appena dietro casa.
