Cozy treehouse with double bed and loft single. We welcome budget travelers especially Mt Collective pass holders visiting for the 1st time or 10th. Walk everywhere in town. Wood floors and smells of fresh pine. Nice deck. Bathroom is down the stairs and about 20 steps, in winter through a shoveled but snowy walkway. It is separate from house but will be shared with guests of other treehouse. It is really no big deal but I want guests to be aware of the set up. Free wireless internet.
Cozy with cork floors and fresh pine walls. Desk for working. Has double bed and loft bed as well as a small fridge. The bathroom is down the stairs and about 20 steps, in winter through the cold and shoveled but snowy walkway. It is really no big deal but I want guests to be aware of the set up. Check out the other treehouse with less stairs and more space. We just set up an awesome camp kitchen ideal for the urban woodsmen in us all. This kitchen consists of running water/hose/summer only , a convection oven and two burner gas stove, along with a coffee machine, pots and pans, plates and utensils. It is under the deck so it stays quite dry on the slight chance it may rain (after all it is Sun Valley). Plus free coffee and tea. Now with a sink in the garage to do dishes in and get fresh water. Also a new commercial washer and dryer on site for a small fee.
Warm comfy double bed, and loft single bed. Fenced yard and we really won't be aware of your comings and goings. Bathroom with shower, must share with guests of other treehouse.
Interaction with guests
It really depends on how much the guests want and our schedule for the time of their visit. Some guests we have gone snowboarding on the mountain with and have had over for dinner, and others have been couples on a romantic getaway, and we just gave them advice on activities and restaurants.
We are pretty social , but with 2 kids sometimes our schedules are pretty full.
Other things to note
25% discount on snowboard rentals from the Board Bin, voted the best snowboard shop in Idaho.
You have a separate entrance and bathroom so we are pretty lax in our rules. There are neighbors, so no late night screaming off the deck and other basic common courtesies. In winter you have to park off the street or the city will tow you, but we can accommodate one car with off street parking.
From Dec 26, 2017 - Jan 01, 2018 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
We have lived in Ketchum for almost 30 years. We have 2 boys 16 and 18 and a sweet puppy. We run a small business in town selling clothes and sporting goods and really enjoy being hosts and sharing some of the great things our area has to offer. Karin is German and is especially grateful when any Euros or German speaking guests visit.
