The space

Calisto6 B&B is an Italian city style "bed and breakfast" in Rome offering accommodations with a warm "bed and breakfast" atmosphere in a centrally located, convenient location. It is the perfect place to experience daily life in a typically Roman setting.
The apartment is located in a circa 1400 three-story townhouse built in the architectural style of the much-loved italian renaissance style in rione Trastevere, close to the famous S. Maria in Trastevere Church and it feels the effects of all the emotions that this site arouses.

In Calisto6 B&B you will find a nice and refined environment personally created with great taste by the owner, thanks to his lenghty experience of architect. Even the smallest details have been taken care of with diligence. We offer charming rooms each with 12 foots ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors. All the rooms are characterized by a different style, decorated in soft color and fitted with fine parquette or marble floor and painstaking in all minimum parts. Open the shutters and gaze out of 6 foots windows onto lovely square and enjoy the sun of Rome. All the rooms are furnished with air conditioning, tv lcd and internet wifi 24h.
As the bed and breakfast hasn't a reception, the customers must early communicate their arrival time. It is expected the daily cleaning of all the rooms and the common environment and the exchange of the linens every two days.

Let us be your home in Rome.

The area of Trastevere is ideal for a walk through narrow streets, squares and colours that still maintain an authentically Roman character and offers a pleasant contrast with the solemn splendour seen at the Vatican. In antiquity Trastevere – "beyond the Tiber" – was the first district established on the right bank of the Tiber and was inhabited by artisans, fishermen, merchants and communities of foreigners, connected with the activities of the nearby port.

The historic centre is at your feet. Crossing the Tevere you are at the Pantheon, with Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori; on to the Campidoglio, to the Foro Romano, to the Coliseum, to Fontana di Trevi and then Trinità dei Monti, to the most famous roads for shopping; coming down from the other side of the hill of the Gianicolo, you are at San Pietro.
All attainable destinations on foot, for those who love to walk and enjoy Rome in the best way, or with the bus that stops close to home.

... And the evening, leaving the B&B, you will have the unique feeling of entering in the history of the city getting to the alleys of Trastevere, the most Roman neighborhoods, famous for the many features Roman trattoria where you can enjoy culinary delights, a true delight the palate.

Rome city tax (which applies to stays on or after 1 January 2011) is not included in the price: €2,00 per person, per night (up to 10 nights) will be charged and collected directly at the front desk. The tax does not apply to children under 10 years of age.

We had a lovely time staying at Andrea's place in Piazza Calisto. Great rooms and very welcoming. Very popular bar downstairs and the piazza was very busy and packed with partygoers at night-time. Good food locally in Piazza Cosimato. Very clean and well maintained, descriptions …

Unfortunately, I had a few negative experiences. Initially I booked viccolo de piede and Andrea contacted me saying there had been an error and he had intended to book me at Calisto 6 where he had availability. He assured me the properties were similar with a private bathroom so …

Response from Andrea:
I never reply to any review, bad or good review, in five years but i feel compelled in this case to leave one as i do not like lies. Veeral is one of the worst guest i had in five years. A no easy going person. Very difficult to host someone like him. He adviced me that his extimate arrival time was at 7pm instead arrived one hour before and of course none was at home (it was sunday). He told me twice that there were no hot water, but simply he had no patience to wait 30 seconds for it. The second time he told me there were no hot water at 9pm while i was at dinner with my parents. I came back home but as a magic there were hot water. Nowhere i told him the bathroom was attached, neither in vicolo del piede nor in Calisto6 (they are both outside the room as a real bed and breakfast). The room is provided with private bathroom and it is simply in front of the room on the other side of the corridor at a just one step (1 meter) so that you do not have to go across any hall!!! I definetely do not recommand as guest otherwise please explain him to wait a bit for hot water!
