Location

County Kerry, Ireland

The cottage is located in a peaceful area, overlooking green fields, Lough Gill lake and Brandon bay with mountains in the backdrop. Brandon Bay beach - Ireland's longest - with direct access, is a short 10 minute walk away and the nearest pub / restaurant is a two minute walk. There are a number of other excellent restaurants, pubs and supermarkets in the immediate area. The village of Castlegregory is only a five minute drive away.
Brandon Bay is internationally recognised as a surfing paradise and for a variety of other water sports.

This area is also a haven for walking and hiking. Brandon Mountain is Ireland’s second highest mountain. Glanteenassig Forest Park is another popular place to walk and is within a short driving distance.

Castlegregory Golf Club is located parallel to Lough Gill and is a two minutes drive from the cottage.

The region is also renowned for on-shore fishing. Bird-watching is another interest that you can pursue. Also, archaeological sites and scuba diving are other leisure activities.

Enjoy an unforgettable horse-riding experience along the sandy beach.

Due to its central location, Stradbally is the perfect base to explore the magnificent and spectacular scenery of the Dingle Peninsula. The Slea Head Drive, west of Dingle town, is regarded as the most scenic landscape in the country.

Driving to Dingle, is a journey to enjoy and absorb, over the iconic Conor Pass. The views through this route are overwhelming.

The tourist mecca of Killarney and its famous lakes, The National Park and many other attractions, is a 45 minutes’ drive from the cottage.
