Boasting panoramic views of the lake and a stunning terrace to sit out and relax, you will never want to leave our paradise. Set in the secluded Slieve Aughty Mountains you are guaranteed peace, quiet and pure tranquility. A perfect destination to enjoy the unspoilt nature of the west of Ireland while also being a perfect base to explore all that Ireland has to offer.

The space
The lake house is a modern yet charming and comfortable house with a unique setting directly overlooking the beautiful Lough Atorick. Boasting all mod-cons, a stunning log burner for cooler nights and a fabulous terrace for the sunnier days, the lake house offers the perfect get away from the busy and stressful world. Enjoy a magical sunset over the lake and cosy up in front of the fire with a Glass of wine, a good book from our library or a great Netflix film on our 55 inch 4K TV. We also have a strong WiFi connection which makes it the place if you want to mix holidays with remote working.

Lough Atorick, Ireland

We are located approx. 12 minutes drive from the charming little village of Woodford. There you will find 4 local pubs, 1 restaurant (delivery available), 1 take away and a small convenience store. Woodford is big into hurling (national sport of Ireland) so the chances are high you can follow this fast-paced and exciting game on the local pitch. Woodford also boasts a lovely picnic area and woodland walks nearby.

The larger town of Portumna is located appox. 25 minutes drive and here you will find two large supermarkets including Aldi, many bars and restaurants, a castle and many other places of interest.

The bustling, cultural hub of Ireland Galway is located just an hours drive from Lough Atorick and is a must see on your trip to Ireland.

Dublin and Dublin airport can be reached in 2 hours.

After spending my twenties living and working abroad in Bulgaria, Italy and then the last 9 years in Austria, in 2018 myself and my austrian Partner Bernhard fell in love with Lough Atorick and took a big leap, moving back to Ireland. I wanted to bring my experience in hospitality back to Ireland and share this beautiful spot with others. Not only do we have the Lake house and Shephard's cottage but we also keep ourselves busy in our polytunnel and outside vegetable patch and we also keep 14 very happy little hens who provide us with delicous eggs every day. We are so luck to live in such a special part of Ireland and look forward to welcoming you to discover all that Lough Atorick and the surrounding area has to offer.
