There is a gas range, dishwasher and refrigerator, washer & dryer. Binoculars are provided for wildlife watching. The Priest River Recreation Area is directly across the street with public beach, playground, picnic tables, boat launch, and trailer parking. An adjacent public lake with boat launch is stocked by Idaho Fish & Game.

GPS is glitchy. Please check driving directions in house manual.

Guest access
The entire cabin is included in a private space. Guests may come and go as they please. There is plenty of parking space next to the cabin for boats and trailers.

Other things to note
The wildlife preserve has a herd of white tail deer, frequent elk presence, occasional moose presence. In 17 years and thousands of hours out in the preserve photographing wildlife, we have never been confronted with a wild animal; but they are out there. Keep a safe distance from wild animals if you see them. Guests are responsible to use good judgment and be responsible for their own safety.

I am the Chairwoman of the National Environmental Banking Association. Our industry restores natural environments to be used as offsets for impacts to the environment due to development. I purchased the 291 acre Louisiana Pacific Sawmill property in 2001. My family spent fourteen years working to restore the site to a spectacular wildlife/wetland oasis. The wildlife flocked to the new habitat as we completed new areas. I had never seen most of the wildlife that moved in and have been very gratified at the success of the project. In 2009, a mob of Great Blue Herons darkened the sky and settled into a group of trees behind the cabin. They have been there ever since. A Bald Eagle nest is in constant use. We had a flock of over 100 Tundra swans that began their annual visit. We are happy to share with others who appreciate the healing benefits of nature.
