The fabulous geodesic dome is set in beautiful private woodlands located between Bath and the Cotswolds. Easy access from M4, but hidden away for total privacy, at the southern edge of our 36 acre farm and ancient hill fort. Situated on top of an escarpment the views into Wales are truly spectacular.
The dome offers very comfortable sleeping, (2 single futons and 1 double bed) a gas BBQ, 'camp kitchen', wood burning stove, composting loo and a lovely open air shower with plenty of hot water.

The space
Woodcock Farm is a small working farm set on the Cotswold Way.
Nearby is Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester. Just 5 mins from J18 of M4, set in quiet, rolling countryside near the Badminton Estate.
The Farm sits on an Iron Age Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans and then finally the Anglo-Saxons. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way. You are free to walk and explore the land and we'd be happy to introduce you to the animals who live here.
There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites.
The tranquil woodlands and the stunning views make the dome setting truly unique and a wonderful sanctuary of calm.
For those looking for fun - the tree swing and the hammock and exploring the woods and the walks around us provide endless entertainment.

Guest access
The dome is on its own in our private woodland. There is a composting loo and a gas powered open air shower, screened for privacy and with plenty of hot water. Outside the dome on the ample decking area is a gas bbq and an undercover 'camp kitchen' with a gas cooker with hob, grill and oven, together with a washing up sink and drainer, worktops and space to sit.
Close to the dome is a rope tyre swing and a fire-pit area.
All cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided.
There is a wood burning stove and a solar fan in the dome so you won't be too hot or too cold!
The beds come with duvets, pillows and comfortable mattresses. You will need to bring bed linens and towels. We can supply these but at an extra cost.
There is a small table and 4 dining chairs, fairy lights, and camping lamps to create a cosy magical feel at night. There is a large cool box which you can charge from your car battery via the cigarette lighter. We also supply ice packs to keep food cool and you can always leave things in our freezer.
There is an outside table and chairs and a fabulous hammock hanging between the trees where you can relax and watch the sun setting down the valley. Or you can toast your marshmallows on the firepit just a few steps from the Dome and watch the sun set on the horizon

Other things to note
Woodcock Farm is a working farm, so we do have animals and equipment around which you need to behave safely. The woodlands are in a tranquil spot at the far end of the land, but of course there will be the sounds of nature all around.
There is no mains running water or electricity in the woods, so hot water for showers is from the gas heater and washing up comes from boiling the kettle.
Please bring wellies or sensible shoes and the woodland can be wet after rain or once the dew has fallen. Its always worth bringing a torch although there are lots of lanterns and fairy lights all around.

Little Sodbury, England, United Kingdom

The Cotswolds in one of the most beautiful parts of SW England, but close at hand if you want great shops, restaurants and nightlife are Bath and Bristol. Our local town boasts its own bakers (Hobbs House Bakery - The Fabulous Baker Boys), Waitrose, local butchers and greengrocers as well as a great Deli/coffee shop called Hamptons, which serve a great brunch! There is a cinema and sports centre with a indoor pool in Yate, which is 15 mins away, and Yate also offers a train service to Bristol Parkway.
The Park and Ride service into Bath is around 15 mins drive located at the top of Lansdown, near the Racecourse.
Locally we have a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out.
