Beautiful wooden chalet overlooking Bantry Bay on the Sheeps Head. Within 2 miles of the town centre and all it's amenities. Designed for people craving an idyllic setting to relax, but close enough to all the attractions Bantry has to offer.

The space

The Cabin is a beautiful, welcoming natural space that is always warm and bright. Situated on the famous walking path; The Goats Path and The Wild Atlantic Way. The cabin is off the main road and enjoys a peaceful and tranquil setting overlooking the sea. It is within two miles of Bantry and one mile from The Westlodge Hotel and Leisure Centre.

Guest access

The house is fully detached and is on a quiet road less than five minutes drive from Bantry town centre, where there are shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, a cinema and a very good outdoor market every Friday. Our house where we live is just next door, so if you need anything from a bowl of sugar to advice on where to go and what to do, we're right here! There is also secure parking and storage space in our garage for bikes/strollers etc.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to show you around and we have two little girls that are aged five and three, they are full of life and joy. We also have a dog and a cat. The cat is never in the cabin. You can help yourself to salad and whatever is growing in the polytunnels and around the garden.

The nicest day away we have had in a long time. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Irene, and she had gone to the bother of leaving out a card and cake to congratulate my girlfriend on her new job! There were two beautiful dogs that brought us to the beach and back home. We cooked an unreal dinner with great facilities and then slept like babies in complete silence. 10/10 will be back, proper relaxing.

Bean and Irene's is better than the photos, and that's pretty tough to do. Everyone in town seems to know the characters of Bean & Irene, and for good reason - they're lovely and fun and accommodating. I like to say that I came for the disco ball but stayed for the animal friends. I nearly passed out when Bean told us about all the endangered animals we could see if we wanted to around the property! The dogs are the most well-trained, sweet but not jumping up and down and mauling you dogs. I nearly wanted to steal them! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous - besides the disco balls, comfiest couch in the world, binoculars, and telescope to play with, there's some really interesting woodwork around the place which I particularly enjoyed. And the VIEW. It's honestly unbeatable. We spent most our time honestly just staring out the windows. Everything about this place was wonderful - even the soap smelled amazing! Definitely take a chance here if you're looking for a weekend trip to Bantry :)

We cant recommend this place enough, really special little spot for a get away, extremely beautiful views, super friendly hosts, 2 amazing dogs who will gladly guide you to the nearest beach and a fully functioning disco ball are just some of the highlights we experienced during our stay. We will be back!
