A rustic, large 57 square meter open plan space with a double and single bed, hardwood sofa, basic bamboo furniture & balcony on the 1st floor, and a private western specification bathroom and storage area on the ground floor. Situated in a vibrant Filipino-expatriate community at the edge of General Luna village, about 50 meters from the beach.
The competitive price, huge space, stunning glass frontage, and beautiful view over the Pacific, make it one of the best places to stay on Siargao.

The space

The newly renovated property (October 2016) features a wide balcony and large 613 square foot open plan space on the first floor with two beds (one double, one single), two electric fans, an L-shaped sofa, a wardrobe, and basic bamboo furniture. On the ground floor is a private entrance, storage area, staircase, and a private bathroom with a hot shower, sink, and flush toilet
You can cook yourself in our communal dining/kitchen area OR you can dine in many cheap local restaurants (all walking distance) or take a tricycle/motorcycle to Cloud 9, just 3km away, for more upmarket dining options.
Uniquely we have an in-house boatman/guide/instructor available for boat trips, river paddle-boarding tours, surf lessons or surf tours.
Whatever you want on Siargao Island we aim to deliver it at a fraction of the rather expensive prices charged elsewhere.

Guest access

Guests have sole access to the entire property (ground floor entrance, private bathroom, staircase, and second floor large studio apartment)
Guests have communal access to our kitchen (depending on whether we have guests in our other property Miramar Residencia - Pacific Hut) which contains a gas stove, blender, kettle, basic utensils and tiled/wooden surfaces for food preparation, but doesn't have a fridge.
Guests can use our boat to take them anywhere, anytime for private tours at well below resort prices.

Interaction with guests

The property will be solely occupied by the guests. The grounds and kitchen/diner are shared with anyone staying at our other property Miramar Residencia - Pacific Hut (see other airbnb listing)
Our boatman will be available at times during the day to help with any requirements.

Other things to note

Cloud9-Gen Luna area is not always a quiet place.

The place is awesome! Cozy Architectural Design & Big space can fit for a family of 4-6. The veranda with hammock is the best place to relax or just hang out from a day's adventure. Fresh air blowing from the beach. The caretakers are very accommodating and they offer surf lessons and island hopping for the visitors. They can also arrange your transportation to other Tourist spots in the island.

Big and traditional philippino's fantatic house. This house is so romantic and peaceful. Early morning and evening time I enjoy terras with hammock. When the windy is the best day. You can take a nap here. Host is very kind and helpful. I want to say to them thank you again.

Great place, loved it! Everything is as described. Bungalow is clean and really big and spacious. Location is very convenient, close to the center and right next to the beach but still quiet. Balcony is bog enough for two hammocks, we brought one ourselves.

Our stay at Miramar was great! The place is just perfect for our family! Beach front at a very good price! Perfect view of the sunrise on the beach front! It's near the residential area but we still felt safe. It was a home away from home. We will surely be back!!!!

Mirasol & Martin User ProfileMirasol & Martin is a superhost.

About Us : Mirasol was born & raised on Siargao Island. She worked as a nanny in Manila for several years, then married Martin in 2003 & moved to England in 2004. She worked there for five years and travelled across the world to obscure countries like Liberia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, UAE, Portugal, Spain, Indonesia & East Timor. The highlight of her life so far is the birth of her son Rafael in 2010.
Martin was born and raised in England. He discovered the joys of surfing during a study year abroad at UC San Diego. He arrived on Siargao Island for the first time in 1997, and although he has found many other places in the world better to surf, it was the vibe (and Mirasol) that inspired him to return to the island time and time again.

About Residencia Miramar: We've hosted over 25 nationalities in the past three years. We get great reviews by treating our visitors like family. We are no frills, but offer unique, native accommodation for a good price. In October 2016 we renovated our "Pacific Views" listing into an open plan apartment with a western specification bathroom; turning it into an even better space at a very competitive price for increasingly expensive Siargao.

Currently we (Martin & Mirasol) are not living on Siargao Island. Martin is teaching English in a small town on the NE coast of Saudi Arabia. Mirasol is keeping him sane during this extended three year break from tropical island life. Mirasol's brother Bebet and his wife Grace will takeover as hosts once you get to Siargao. We'll communicate with you before you get to the island and help you with anything you need to know.
