The Studio is a quiet and cosy detached retreat on an exclusive development yet it is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Crickhowell with its tourist office and many interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The Studio was newly let in late 2017 with fresh decoration, kitchen, fixtures, fittings and carpets. All continuously refreshed and updated to keep things fresh. The mezzanine bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed.

The space
Full gas boiler central heating/ hot water and highly insulated walls and loft make The Studio a really cosy retreat. Return from a day in the Brecon Beacons to a well equipped interior which includes: 43 Inch 4K Smart LED TV with HDR Freeview/ Play and if you have a subscription Netflix etc. Unlimited Fast Fibre broadband/ WiFi / DVD Player/ DAB Radio with Bluetooth speaker facility/ 4G Mobile Signal. Books, games, magazines, DVD box sets and movies provided. A Google Home Mini is there to answer questions about the locality.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, together with a Welcome Pack consisting of bread, jams, Welsh Cakes, milk, orange juice, chocolates (and a nice bottle of wine for stays of 7 days or more).

The bedroom has a King sized bed, Smart TV, large chest of drawers and a clothes rail with hangers.

The double garage offers secure parking for a car, motorbikes, mountain bikes, kayaks and canoes. It also houses a Washer dryer and freezer.

Unfortunately due to its design, with spiral staircase and mezzanine bedroom with low window ledges, the property is not suitable for the disabled or children under 10 .

Sorry no animals allowed. The Studio is strictly a no smoking property and the hosts would appreciate it if guests took off dirty shoes and boots at the door.

Guest access
The Studio is a detached property so there are no shared areas.

Other things to note
The Studio has a 4* 'Visit Wales' Inspection.

*When you proceed to book you won't find any hidden cleaning charges - it's all included*

Crickhowell is a popular tourist destination in Mid Wales. Most people visit to see the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, and maybe enjoy some mountain-biking, camping, hill walking, rock climbing, fly-fishing, hang-gliding, canoeing or simply tour the area by car. BikePark Wales, 30mins/ 10 miles away, is the UK’s first full scale mountain bike park in the heart of the South Wales valleys, built by riders for riders.

The Crickhowell Walking Festival is on 6th to 14th March 2021.
The Hay Literary Festival is on 27th May to 6th Jun 2021. (Hay on Wye is 30 mins away by car).
Brecon Jazz Festival: 2021 TBC
The Green Man Festival takes place on 19th to 22 Aug 2021 at nearby Glanusk Park.
The Abergavenny Food Festival is postponed in 2020. Date for 2021 TBC.

Crickhowell has a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants, such as "The Bear Hotel" and "The Dragon".

Crickhowell High Street was crowned the UK's best in the Great British High Street Awards in Nov 2018. There are some lovely family run shops (no corporate chains here!)

The towns of Abergavenny, Brecon, Hay on Wye are also worth visiting and also have your nearest supermarkets . Serious shopping can be done in Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil's Trago Mills and Cyfarthfa Retail Parks.
