A room with wifi that’s well suited for working.
If you wish a place to relax, this is it! A 6 acre nature-space near Rosscarbery. Beaches, cafes, restaurants, all within 5 mins drive.
A lovely en-suite private room with a King Size bed, plus, if need, a sofa bed can be set up. For this, there is a €25 supplement for the duration of your stay. There is a small kitchenette with air-fryer, fridge and a 2 ring hob. No TV!! but good wifi. A great base to explore west Cork. We provide coffee, tea, cereal & a few basics

The space
Ours is a large modern timber frame house.
Airbnb space within. A lovely ensuite bedroom, (underfloor heated) with a fine bed! looking directly out to trees and nature. If you are from a city, the first thing you will notice is QUIETNESS, esp. at night! The sofa converts into a comfortable fold out bed that would suit an adult or a child.

Between bedroom and main block, is a shared hallway & access to a small kitchenette for your own use. Has all mod cons!

Presently we are re-wilding the farm & we strongly suggest you walk the path! There's a picnic table by the stream and a few meditation spots along its bank. And do please pop out b/4 sleep to look at the Milky Way. John's hobby is astronomy and would be so happy to chat!!

If you come in July / Augusteven Sept, if the birds haven't already got them, you can pick blueberries. Finally, just to say, most people tell us they find two nights in the area way too short.

Guest access
Parking is right outside the door. Come and go as you please. We are here to help with suggestions and advice.
Don't simply rely on what Google says!!!
Local knowledge is still far far better!

Other things to note
John is a writer, now working on the sequel to his globally recognised classic book on adventure travel 'Quondam: travels in a once World. The book featured on RTE television 'Nationwide. . Signed copies available.
Sara, works as a Craniosacral therapist just above the guest area. Treatments may be available best to book ahead. I love to work with birth recovery and children but many guests also enjoy a deeply relaxing treatment for themselves. I arrange my work at times when guests are usually out and about to make my presence upstairs as unobtrusive as possible. I do not work full-time.

Hello, my name is Sara. I work as a Craniosacral therapist supporting clients to find balance and wellness. I practice both here at home, and in a nearby town. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Hi, my name is John. I've 'retired' as an organic grower and am now lucky enough to be enjoying my 3rd 'career', as a writer. Thankfully, my first book, 'Quondam: travels in a once World' is already being hailed as a classic in the genre. I am working on the sequel. If you want to look at a short youtube video this shows some good aspects of the area as well as something about the book and my story. Look for John Devoy Author and the Nationwide video ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) Our home is on a 2.5 hectares tree-filled property with the sound of the ocean waves 3kms in the distance. For over twenty years we ran a busy organic farm, however, today we are in the process of 'rewilding' it, changing its nature back to nature! There is a lovely path by a lively steam flowing by woodland, with places to sit and meditate and unwind. Your visit here can be as adventurous as you like. We enjoy directing guests to hidden places, great restaurants and other highlights. We have lived in Rosscarbery since 2000. We love cycling, hiking, (occasionally kayaking!) and generally a healthy outdoor lifestyle.
