I had a peaceful month-long stay at Sonya's home. The house had everything I needed and Sonya was very communicative throughout my stay. The surrounding vicinity has long gravel roads that make for pleasant walks through forest and farmland. I enjoyed lounging in the hammock and witnessed many a sunset from the front of the house, at night the wood stove kept the house cozy and warm. The ceilings in the house were a bit lower than I expected, about 7' high -- something to keep in mind for anyone who is on the tall side. The house sits at the base of a large hill and doesn't get a whole lot of sunlight, the house can feel a bit musty and damp depending on the weather.

Response from Sonya:
Thank you, Zachary. Glad your stay was peaceful, and we appreciate the feedback about dampness in autumn. A dehumidifier may be in order. (Note to potential guests: that shade serves to keep the house pleasantly cool in summer!)

We stayed for a few weeks in September and it is truly beautiful up there, especially when the leaves start to change. Sonya is a great hostess and is quick to respond to any question or issues. The house is a great place to relax and get away from the city.

This is the second time we stay at this wonderful house. We were there for a month and could not have been more comfortable or happier with our surroundings!

My husband and I had the privilege of staying at this charming farmhouse for three months this winter while I completed an internship in the area. The setting was so peaceful; we loved the view of the rolling hills, the spectacular sunsets, and especially the cozy wood stove. Sometimes all you could hear was the wind blowing through the pine trees nestled around the house. The few times it snowed this winter were breathtaking. The house is very true to the photos, and there seemed to be everything we needed and more. We hosted my family for Christmas dinner and had everything we needed to cook a meal for them. Also, Sonya and John were very kind and helpful. There was even a bottle of wine on the table for us when we arrived! Sonya would often check in on us by email to make sure we were doing well. Our time at the farmhouse was wonderful; it is something we will treasure and look back on for many years to come!

The host canceled this reservation 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

Response from Sonya:
Unfortunately, an unexpected plumbing problem that would not be a quick fix meant that we were not able to host Aaron and his family. Aaron was very understanding; we really hated to have to cancel, but we were glad to have discovered the problem in time.

Charming house on a quiet country road, clean and faithful to the description. Perfect place to relax and catch up on sleeping. Welcoming hosts, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the house. Great communicators over the email, overall nice experience, will be back with pleasure! Recommended!
