If you are looking for a no-frills accommodation in a beautiful corner of France then you have come to the right place.
This charming and authentic watermill is secluded at the end of a little dead-end street.
The combination of the simple country interior with a view of the flowing water on one side and of the interior workings of the mill on the other side makes this accommodation a unique place to spend a holiday, with loads of ambience. Ideal for birders and nature lovers.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, bask in the sun on one of the chaises longues or sink your teeth into a good book with the calming murmur of the water in the background. And of course you can go swimming and fishing in your "own" piece of the river.
Canal du Nivernais, where you can go canoeing, is just a short distance away. And the bicycle path along the canal offers a marvellous bike ride. You will find a variety of lovely lakes in the De Morvan nature preserve (tip: catamaran rental).
There is a pleasant restaurant within walking distance.
You can find other facilities in Corbigny (4 km).
Annual events include a music week and a large flea market. Culture lovers are sure to enjoy Vézelay.
Please note: Due to the water in the surrounding area, it is important that children are able to swim.
We do not recommend this accommodation if you have mobility issues.
