Recently redecorated! Cosy & simple, this self-contained annexe with amazing light, views & great hosts ;) gives you a good, comfortable night's sleep & a great base from which to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. 1.5miles from bustling & friendly regional market town Skibbereen, along the River Ilen, & 75 minutes from Cork Airport, you can relax and explore the outdoors, great food & crafts of the area. Don't forget to book an on-site massage with Ricky for a real traveller's rest!

The space
We have recently redecorated the Tigín, adding features such as a south facing entrance on to a private deck, with a full overhaul inside too.

During your stay you can enjoy your meals outside in the sun with amazing views, or under the stars by firelight. Spend the rest of your time out and about exploring West Cork, or in the hammock reading a book...the choice is yours! The Tigín is cosy and compact, equipped with everything you need to comfortably self-cater, including locally-sourced breakfast ingredients provided by your hosts.

The rest of the property consists of an old farmhouse, dating from, 1840, Tig na Wig, commands an excellent view of the Ilen River valley. East to Skibbereen and South, to Loch Hyne hill. There is a field out of the front with small orchard and a quiet garden to the back with raised vegetable beds.

The annexe space is all yours. If you'd like yoga mats or massage, we can provide both (subject to availability).

***We have recently added a single sofa bed in the bed/living space. This is not included in the standard nightly price for 2 people sharing the double bed, but is available at an additional charge of €10 per night. Therefore if you are a party of 2 and wish to have separate beds, please book for 3 people to get the correct price.***

Guest access
The whole annexe, with fridge, toaster/oven, kettle and victuals for breakfasts.
Just ask, if we're in, and we'll help if we can.

Other things to note
You'll need a car!
We have a sweet little cat called Lottie, who is quite friendly.
You can enrol in a green wood chair making course with Ana's mum. Less than a five minute walk away. More details: www.greenwoodchairs.com
