This 2 story house stands on a hill in a quiet area surrounded by trees with a view of mountains in the distance. It is a perfect place for relaxation or cultural experiences. Though this room is for 3 people, as I have another bed room for 2, 5 people can stay easily. ( Prior inquiry needed.)

If you wish, Japanese flower arranging lesson is available.

As it is situated in a remote area, I recommend you come by vehicle.

The space
The guest room is located on the second floor. It has 3 windows that face east, south or north,so it is airy and bright. It has a wardrobe, an antique Japanese table, and a lamp. Futon mat sizes are either single or double.

If you are a group of 3 -5 people, another bed room, a Japanese tatami mat room, is available as well. The whole space of the second floor will be just for the group!

The wallpaper has been changed recently, so the room looks very cozy with Japanese paper wallpaper, which reflects light softly. Very nice.

Guest access
Your host will usually greet you at the front porch, but due to the COVID-19, self-check in is also available in advance notice.

You are welcome to use the dining / living room, terrace and the yard ,but the west room on the first floor is the host's mother's room and kept as a private area.

Other things to note
*GPS will direct you to my place.

A child aged 2-6will be charged ¥4500, 7 and over:regular price.

*Should you need an extra bed room, extra charge for cleaning (1000JPY) will be charged.

*With prior request,Ikebana , Japanese flower arranging lesson is available. The fee is ¥3000 +material cost par person. Try and have fun experiencing this beautiful tradition!

Location

Kasama-shi, Ibaraki-ken, Japan

You can enjoy walking around this area of Kasama, discovering something exciting at every turn :it might be tiny wild flowers, a studio of the town’s well-known potters or a cozy coffeeshop. There are about 20 artists/artisans in my neighborhood. On a weekend in September, they hold an event called " Minamiyoshiwara Open Gallery."

The City of Kasama has one of the three most famous Inari Shrines in Japan, the ruins of Kasama Castle, where Load Asano used to reside before he was sent to Akoh. Some of whose men were the famous 47 assassins. Kasama is also famous for pottery ,and Himatsuri, an annual pottery fair held during GoldenWeek( April 29-May 5) is very popular.

Iwama, a 15 minutes drive from my place is the mecca of aikido. Mito has Kairakuen Park visited thousands of people during the plum blossom season( late Feb.- early March.)
The list is going to be too long to mention everything you might enjoy.
Just explore!
