With super fast fiber optic wi-fi, our lake house provides you the option to work or study remotely surrounded by the beauty of nature. On pristine Center Hill Lake, within a 1 hr drive of 5 different beautiful state parks, enjoy complete privacy in the surrounding 2 acres. Our luxury linens and high end beds ensure you will get the rest you need. Then make great memories hiking down the short trail to the lake, roasting marshmallows in the stone fire pit, and enjoying our 2 Jackson Kayaks!

The space
Our three level house has a bedroom on each level and each bedroom has its own adjoining full bathroom. All the beds are new with luxury linens including down or down alternative comforters on each bed. Bedroom 1: King bed and desk, Bedroom 2: Queen bed, Bedroom 3: Bunk room with 5 custom built-in twin size bunks. (The basement/bunk room also has a couch, TV, toys, books, games, and puzzles so it's a perfect room for kids.) There is also a nice size laundry room on this level with brand new washer and dryer.

The main level features high lofted ceilings and an open living plan with the living room opening directly into the kitchen. This space opens onto a screened in deck with additional seating plus a custom built farmhouse table that seats up to 10. This is the perfect space for a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning and for gatherings around the dinner table at night, all while enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature outside.

The bottom deck provides more living space with built-in seating and two twin size swinging beds. You can also walk down the trail (steep) leading down to the lake. We love walking down the trail and being picked up on the boat. While you can see a bit of the lake from our house, the view is mainly wooded, especially in the summer when foliage is thick. From the bottom deck you can also walk down a few steps to the fire pit for making s'mores at night. Sitting around a fire at night is one of our favorite things to do.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the lake house and surrounding two acres.

Location

Baxter, Tennessee, United States

Located on the beautiful Cumberland Plateau halfway between Nashville and Knoxville, our house is less than 20 minutes off of Interstate 40 and the towns of Baxter and Cookeville. You can take Baxter Exit 280 or Cookeville Exit 287. Cookeville has a host of chain restaurants along I-40 and there is a Sam's club, Publix, Wal-Mart, Kroger, etc. nearby. You may choose to stop at the grocery on your way in so that you do not have to drive in during your stay. If you do drive into town, we suggest going into historic downtown Cookeville and enjoying all the yummy local restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, Dogwood Park and the Depot.

Our house is also close to many amazing state parks and waterfalls perfect for hiking and exploring such as: Window Cliffs State Natural Area (15 min away), Burgess Falls State Park (20 min away), Cummins Falls State Park (35 min away), Edgar Evins State Park (35 min away), and Rock Island State Park (50 min away)! We are 15 minutes from Cookeville Boat Dock and 30 minutes from Hurricane Marina.

The setting of our house on two acres of land gives you complete privacy. We are near the end of a dead end road with very little traffic. The last mile of the road leading to our house is a narrow and winding gravel road but does not require four wheel drive. The way our subdivision is laid out, you can't see any other houses even though our friendly neighbors are close by.
