Lovely and cosy cottage looking out on the bay. Perfect place to get away from the hustle of modern life! Beautiful beaches nearby for a daily stroll.

A unique opportinity to stay in a Traditional thatch cottage but with the comfort of an impressive reinvention / modernised home. Everything was convenient, we had all we needed. If you are after a quiet break away, then bring your cosy jumpers and a bottle of wine to enjoy after a lovely day walking the rural roads. :)

Myself and my 88 year young mother have just spent 4 days in this beautiful part of Donegal. Greg's house played a huge part in such a pleasurable trip. The house is in a wonderful setting with cracking views and the use of picture windows enhances that view. Lovely to sit with a cup of tea watching the changing weather of Donegal .Even better with the fire lit and a glass of wine. It is a very cosy house, comfy beds, powerful shower and everthing a kitchen should have. I had no problems with wi-fi connection. It is only a 5 minute drive to the N56 which will bring you to anywhere in Donegal but the road is narrow so no speeding. Had a wonderful walk every morning on the deserted beach listening to the crashing waves and standing in awe of the power of nature. Greg was extremely helpful and had a couple of great chats about his current projects. Restoring Irelands past and blending it with modern building techniques.Great vision. Will be back. Thanks Greg Fergal and Bernie (aka mum)

Close to several beaches, waterfalls. The one beach we went too, all within 5 minutes, we had sun, rain, hail, and a double rainbow - fantastic. You will not be disappointed with this property or location.

A stunning cottage in a wonderful location. We wanted to stay somewhere cosy for a few days and this is exactly what we hoped for. The juxtaposition of the old cottage and modern refurbishment works extremely well. You could sit on front of the fire watching the ever-changing landscape all day. Dooey beach is great for walking. We also enjoyed the nearby town Ardara for its craft shops. Highly recommended.

We loved the house. It is warm and cosy and though there were just the two of us it would be grand for more. The double bed was very comfy. The house looks down a slope to the coast and with picture windows it is a bit like being in a very cosy hide where you can sit in the warmth and watch the weather. Everything was very clean and the shower was powerful and there was plentiful hot water. Greg and Yvonne responded quickly to any questions I had and directions to the house were great. All in all a great experience with hosts who really care about your comfort.

Very comfortable, well laid-out cottage. Heating works well and great views looking down towards the shoreline. Greg is a good host, checking that we had all we needed during our stay. Great cycling country round here, plenty of very quiet roads although deceptively hilly. Nearby Dooey beach is great.

I'm a former University lecturer from the University of Wales (archaeology/ architectural history), and have written several books and TV series on architecture. I love great views, privacy and finding the best locations, and then renovating and restoring in an appropriate style.
