Where you’ll be

Northport, Michigan, United States

Rural in nature, sparsely populated with area homes having 4 or more acres. A quiet relaxing setting is our most welcome amenity. Leelanau's newest winery is just around the corner. Please know that we welcome all guests, no matter the culture, gender or ethnic origin. This is a safe place for all. So far we have hosted students from China, visitors from Russia, Germany, Thailand, Serbia and France as well as an assortment of Americans. It has been a pleasure to meet and help all of them enjoy our area. The fun of Petoskey stone collecting can be done on any of the Lake Michigan beaches. Leland Bluestones are rare but can still be found at Van's beach in Leland. We are central to 24 wineries, golfing, hiking trails nearby, public access to swimming and boating is close by. Several popular wedding venues are 10 minutes away. Above us is the most incredible night sky.

We enjoy meeting new people. Our home reflects our easy going personalities. We are a casual retired couple and want our guests to have a relaxed, casual stay. Cooking, cars and art are our passions, with travel thrown in the mix. Our surroundings are filled with beauty and a visit to Northport's Barb's Bakery is a couple times a week trip we can't miss. Good restaurants abound in this area as well, and we have tried them all. Our goal in being an AIR BnB host is to provide a place where the stress of travel is eliminated. If we haven't thought of everything, a guests request will be met if at all possible. This is our second year of renting our home and it has been an enjoyable experience. Although we are situated in conservative Northern Michigan, please know that we welcome all guests, no matter the culture, gender or ethnic origin. This is a safe place for all. So far we have hosted students from China, visitors from Russia, Germany, Thailand, Serbia and France as well as an assortment of Americans. It has been a pleasure to meet and help all of them enjoy our area.
