Relax in our clean, comfortable and stylish bedrooms and bathrooms and enjoy a light, healthy, homemade breakfast. Loved by walkers, Minack Theatre goers, St Michael's Mount explorers and St Ives shoppers alike: we are perfectly placed for exploring this amazing corner of the country. We can usually offer lifts to and from the coast path in our fabulous camper van, Horace, as well as lots of ideas for making the most of your stay with us.

The space

We have two lovely rooms - one king size en-suite, and one twin with a private bathroom across the hall. Both rooms have generous tea and coffee making facilities. Our accommodation is ideal for a group of 4 or family of 4 travelling together. I'm afraid we are not able to accomodate children under 12.

Breakfast is eggs, toast, homemade granola and fruit compote and plenty of tea and coffee.

We have a miniature dachshund, Oscar, who may welcome you with a bark or two. He is used to sharing his house with grown up humans, but not with small children or other dogs unfortunately.

Guest access

As well as your own bedroom and bathroom, we invite you to relax in our lovely light Orangery and spacious garden.

Interaction with guests

We are usually at home in the evenings and mornings and will happily chat with you about your day or leave you in peace if you prefer! We have walked this stretch of the South West Coast Path and can enthusiastically recommend walks, places to eat and things to see.

We had a wonderful evening. The beds were very confortable. I recommend the scrumble eggs and the homemade granola for breakfast, John has a secret recipe and it tastes amazing. Our host was very friendly and definitely loves hosting.

John's house is simply the best! My wife and I are walking the Coast Path from Falmouth to St. Ives and this was the best place we stayed over the 10+ days, by far. Homemade granola, yogurt and preserves; bathrobes; a bathtub big enough for two; and Cornwall's most magically soft mattress. It was so nice, we stayed there twice. Also, if you stop there on a Wednesday, get the pizza from a van.

A great stay at Lamorna House! John our host had been very accommodating throughout our 3days stay. The bedroom is just the right size for the 2 of us; it even comes with robes and slippers. The toilet was my favourite part of the house; its just so clean and spacious! It was so clean you wouldn't want to use it. The breakfast was always lovely; John's specialty of scrambled egg was delicious! We really felt at home the moment with set foot into the house. The location of the house is just right as it was close by to the usually Cornwall landmarks! Thank you so much, we've enjoyed our stay in your lovely home! -PaulQueen

We had a really lovely stay at John and Helen's. They were very welcoming from the start and we were able to sit with them on arrival in their beautiful garden, enjoying the view and playing with Oscar the dog. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and even included bathrobes and slippers which made it extra special! Breakfast was delicious with so much choice - we particularly loved the homemade granola! They were such hospitable hosts; we really felt at home from the moment we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at John and Helen's if you're ever down in this part of Cornwall!
