Situated at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains, This comfortable ground floor apartment is attached to the our home in a quiet and peaceful location. It is ideal for walkers, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Access to the River Suir Blueway, close to the Waterford greenway. Approximately 20 mins drive from the towns of Clonmel & Cahir.
It is also an ideal base to return to after exploring all the sunny south east has to offer or just to relax and get away from it all.

The space
Spacious private apartment. Separate Kitchen. Solid fuel stove in the living area.
Two bedrooms (1 double bed and 1 single bed) with an additional sofa bed in the living room, this is suitable for 2 children or 1 adult.
Please note: access to the kitchen and bathroom is through the living room.

The apartment is attached to our house, and we do use the rooms directly above the property, so you may hear footsteps overhead at times. However, we do try to limit the times we go upstairs when we do have guests staying.

A quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. Beautiful views of the Knockmealdown mountains with fabulous walks and trails.

We would like to reassure guests that post Covid - 19 crisis we are complying with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.
We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists
We also provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay.

Guest access
Guests have the full use of the apartment with a private patio out the back. There is a shared front garden.

On the doorstep:
Beautiful walks and trails in the Knockmealdown and Galtee Mountain ranges around the area. Great base for the Rhododendrum walking festival that is run each year at the beginning of June.
New Suir Blueway - this is comprised of walking, cycling and the River Suir water amenities including Kayaking which can begin in the beautiful village of Newcastle.
Waterford Greenway - a spectacular 46km off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan
Beautiful beaches only approx 40 min drive away
Lismore Castle - A stunning 13th Century castle, open to the public
Mahon Falls - Picturesque falls just outside Kilmacthomas
Mount Melleray Abbey - The first monastery founded in Ireland after the reformation

We are in a very quiet peaceful neighbourhood less than a mile from the village of Newcastle which boasts two grocery shops and a pub.
The surrounding mountains will beckon you outside and there are many nearby trails to discover, including the popular Liam Lynch Loop. The River Suir and River Tar flows nearby which provides angling opportunities in places and also access to the Suir Blueway. We are approx 20 mins drive (18km) from shops, restaurants and nightlife on nearby towns of Clonmel or Cahir. 31mins (30km) from Dungarvan
National Heritage sites such as Cahir castle, Rock of Cashel and Lismore castle are all in close proximity.
The cities of Cork, Kilkenny and Waterford are approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hour drive from Knockmealdown view.
Guests can enjoy a quiet peaceful getaway while still be within driving distance of all attractions.
